We welcomed our own little boy, Samuel Zachary, on 4/11/14. At age 2 1/2 he was diagnosed with Autism. It’s a wild ride we’re on, but we trust in the hope that God provides. Sam is the sweetest little boy, and he’s taught us so much! I’m so excited to see what God has in store for his life!
We welcomed our sweet baby girl, Sophie Michelle, on 1/14/16. She is all sass and personality plus! She cracks us up daily and is so smart! She also talks our ears off, which is the greatest thing.
On 5/7/19 we welcomed our sweet boy Oliver Lucca, into this world. He is the perfect final addition to our little family! I’ve been really taking it slow and enjoying this postpartum journey this time around. There’s something about knowing it’s your last time that really makes it so very special.
I love Jesus and my faith, and have my mum (my very own guardian angel) to thank for that. I try to live a healthy lifestyle, and enjoy feeding my body with good fuel. I love big hair and bright lights and pretty words. I enjoy kettle corn probably more than most things. I don’t take life too seriously, but I also don’t take it for granted. And I love love love, Love.

You will LOVE it! :) My husband and I actually designed my blog, and I don’t really know many blog designers… But I know there are a lot out there! A good way to find them is to scroll all the way to the bottom of blogs that you love the look of, and many blogs will have the link to their designer there! Question…how far along were you when you announced your pregnancies? We announced our first (January 2015) to our family and best friends at 6/7 weeks and suffered a miscarriage the following week. We are now pregnant with number 2 (mommy and daddy worked so hard for him/her) and are going through the when to spill the beans discussion.
I feel very calm in this pregnancy. Calm about the whole process, calm about making the 9 week appointment and seeing our peanut, just very calm. We planned this pregnancy and therefore are both in a better place for it both mentally and physically as we have been spending the year getting into better health for it. I have such a good outlook on this and I feel safe announcing at 9 weeks after our first ultrasound. It’s such a norm to hear ppl say wait until week 12 but I know it’s ultimately my decision. I just like to hear stories of those who couldn’t wait to let the world know.

Hi katie.. It’s nice reading about you. I must say I am really inspired by ur life and blog. I myself just started my blog. And I am having a hard time classifying exactly what niche I fall under. I know Its probably lifestyle…. But may I ask this question. Can a lifestyle blogger add sub niches of beauty tips, DIY and fiction writing. My main niche is sharing about my life experiences, opinions and advices in a funny, relaxed and chit chat manner….that’s generally story telling both of myself and others in other to pass a message. So is it okay to add beauty, DIY and fiction from time to time without standing the risk of being everywhere and having no specific niche? I already read about the consequences of not having a distinct niche in terms of dedicated readership, SEO and income. Thanks

Thank you for the kind words! What you described is exactly what I do and I would say it works perfectly fine! Most of my posts are about my life and family with a few mixed in about fashion, beauty and other stuff. I don’t think a very specific niche is necessary to be successful. If YOU are the niche, and everything you write has a little bit of you in it, then it doesn’t really matter whether you stray from your norm every now and then. I hope that helps!
