SOPHIE AT 5 MONTHS

Five months already!! I can’t believe it! Our little Sophie Michelle is the sweetest angel baby! I say this all the time, only because it’s true.

At 5 months…

She is so so strong, and can stay in a seated position for a few seconds before sloooowlyyyyyy toppling over. ;) It’s the cutest thing. Any day now!

She loves to eat and always gives the biggest, nonstop smiles to mama and daddy and big brother. Although she definitely has a very limited time span with anybody else.

She laughs the most with daddy, and loves playing peek-a-boo with him! She also kicks her little legs so fast when she’s excited, like she’s running in place. The cutest!

She loves to chew on her hands and is constantly drooling! Those rolls of hers make for a necessary deep clean often. ;)

She sleeps so well through the night, and even slept 9 hours in a row this week! Amazing!! Although, her naps have been more difficult recently. We’re thinking it’s a growth spurt. We swaddle her with arms out now and just started using this sleep sack and love it!

Rough schedule at 5 months:

8:00 wake up and eat
9:30 nap
11:00 wake and eat
12:30 nap
1:30 wake and eat
3:00 nap
4:30 wake and eat
6:00 nap
7:30 wake and eat
9:30-10 bed
11:00 wake/eat/back to bed
4:00 AM eat and back to sleep

She only loves pacifiers to sleep and just chews on them during the day. She sucks her thumb sometimes (and if she’s like her brother that’s only going to get more frequent!). Also, we switched Sam to the crib at this age, buuuuut I don’t see that happening any time soon. Mostly because I don’t see them two sharing a room being good for anyone involved, and also because, well, I’m just really loving having her next to me. :) Maybe it’s because I know how fleeting this babyhood is, and I’m trying to cling to it and soak it all in as much as I possibly can. And boy, is it ever so so sweet- but also too too quick!

Sophie loves to be held and I love holding her, so really the majority of our days are spent with her on my hip (or in my lap!) Girlfriend is 17 pounds already, so it’s a great workout at the same time! ;)

Oh, Sophie, you are a little dolly and we’re so happy to call you ours! Love you oodles and oodles.
