I have shared what’s in my diaper bag before, back when I was a new mama to my sweet Sam. Ahhhh. I was so much less…. Frazzled…. Back then. ;) Ha! I kiiiid. But seriously, now that I have two little ones, 2 and under, what I carry in my bag has changed a bit. And also the quantity of items I carry with me has changed too. More, but also less. If that makes sense. It does in my head. ANYWAY. I thought it’d be fun to share what I carry, when on-the-go with two little ones, a baby and a toddler! Let’s go!
First off, the bag itself. I was sent this GORGEOUS Rachel Zoe x Quinny diaper bag that matches her stroller and car seat perfectly, and I am in love! It’s not only beautiful, but super functional too. There are pockets for me to easily access what I need, as well as my own items, which I appreciate since yes, it’s for the kid’s things, but it also serves as my purse!
The bag comes with a changing pad (awesome!), an insulated pouch and a drawstring pouch that I use for dirty laundry. The bag also has a side zipper inside that is insulated! I mean, this is genius! I’ve never seen that before and it’s the perfect spot for Sophie’s bottle. Best idea ever. The bag can be worn over the shoulder OR as a backpack, too! Definitely a fan of the backpack carry, with two little ones! It also perfectly matches this stroller!
We use Parasol diapers and wipes and absolutely love them. They are the best that we’ve found. The designs are the cutest, they are super soft and durable, they hold a lot (lol) and the wipes are sturdy and smell amazing! Only good things to say about them! I always have a few diapers for both babies. Use code KATIEDID2016 for 20% off your first order!
Snacks are a must! We usually have a packet for each kid and some sort of bag of easy “bribe” snacks (like Goldfish or these bunny grahams) for shopping cart/ leaving the park/ car ride bribes. You just never know. A sippy cup of water and a bottle are also always in my bag.
For myself, I make sure to have chapstick, my wallet, sunglasses, a water bottle and a snack of some sort. I am always hungry!
We ALWAYS have hand sanitizer (not pictured, but literally is in all of my bags and in our car!). I’m a stickler for cleaning those hands!!
For little miss, there are always a couple of teethers in my bag. She doesn’t take a paci anymore, and hasn’t for a while, but I still love using pacifier clips to attach to teethers (or pacifiers, they work as teethers, too!) on the go. I love that I can clip them to her car seat or her shirt to make sure we don’t lose them.
For Sam, there’s always a few little fun things to keep him occupied, like bouncy balls, stickers and bubbles! You never know when you’ll need bubbles is my motto.
A burp cloth and a swaddle blanket are musts. I also like to have a board book with us, in case of any down time or opportunities to get some reading in. :) We love babylit books!
{The things that basically live in our car…}
I always have a carrier with me- the Ergo is my favorite for the on the go, as it’s super easy and quick to put on. We leave toys in the car- this Baby Einstein one is a car ride favorite, as is this one. We also always leave a blanket in the car for park days, a pack of wipes because WIPES ARE LIFE, kleenex, more snacks and a first aid kit. PHEW.
I’m telling you. With kids, it is IMPOSSIBLE to travel light! No matter where you’re going. ;)
Alright. That’s it!
What are some must haves you carry with you at all times?

I found some of these babylit books at Whole Earth yesterday and they’re BEAUTFUL! And so clever! I have a slight obsession with children’s books and these are definitely going on my baby’s Christmas wishlist! We also really love Usborne books, have y’all tried those!?
Katie
Yes!! Babylit books are some of our favorites- so fun and colorful! And as a literary nerd, I’m a big sucker for that aspect, too. :)

Hey Katie.. im drooling over this diaper bag! I’m a first time mama expecting our little one in July. Just wondering your updated thoughts on this diaper bag.. Has it gotten dirty? Is it practical for everyday use? I’m wanting to take the plunge and splurge to get it but just wanted to hear more of your thoughts since it is not a cheap bag :) Also read a few reviews saying it was like overly big in size. I just love the fact that it doesn’t look like a diaper bag at all. Thanks! love your blog
