Woo! What a weekend! And this week coming up proves to be just as exciting!! :) First, the weekend, though.
This girl. She is 100% personality plus, and 100% mine! ;) And yes, we totally twinned on purpose, and will continue to do so until she doesn’t think it’s cool anymore. Duh.
St. Patrick’s Day was so fun! And the weather! It was 80 degrees with a slight breeze- it felt like the coast! Ohhh, favorite weather right there, hands down. We worked out with our mama group in the morning, then had a little green potluck, and later in the day we met up with some friends at the Children’s Museum for more fun! The boys were really into playing and not at all into photos. ;) Ha!
Expectation vs. Reality, amiright? This, folks, is real life right here. (But then there’s also the girls, giving hugs, awwww haha).
Who else is watching March Madness?! As far as sports goes, it’s definitely one of my favorite times of year! I just love how much everyone gets into it- it’s kind of hard NOT to get caught up in the excitement! The underdog stories are always my favorite, and when the true MADNESS happens (i.e. upsets!), that’s when it gets REAL good. I also have to say that college > pros. There’s just so much more heart in it. Anyway, we filled out our brackets over here, and I have Kentucky and Villanova in the final game, soooo… we’ll see what happens!! If you filled out a bracket, who do you have in the finals?
Also, UC Davis (close to where we live!) made it to the sweet 16 for the first time EVER, so that was really exciting!!! They were a 16 and got out in the first round (boo), but YAY for making it!! So proud! :)
I have been bitten BAD by the cleaning bug, and guys. Literally. I just want eveything to GO. haha. So, I brushed up on my Marie Kondo-isms (if it doesn’t bring you joy, chuck it, basically- that, I can get behind) and have been purging all of our closets like CRAZY. Which has been SO overdue, and also is making me excited because little miss Sophie’s new BEDROOM is almost ready to share on here! :) It’s allll coming together and I’m kind of really excited about it.
Also, these lounge pants?! OBSESSED. I’m thinking I need them in black, too, because they are LIKE BUTTAH and they just literally fit perfectly. I highly recommend! They fit true to size! (Similar KALE shirt here, too).
Plus, I mentioned this before, but it merits a follow-up: Sophie was NOT sleeping through the night when she was still in our room. Literally the first night in her own room (same crib), she SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT. And! She has slept through the night EVERY SINGLE NIGHT since. And it’s been like 2 months now. High fives and praise hands and hallelulahs alllll around for that! Just a lieel tip if you’re in the same boat we were. :) All babies are different, of course, but it’s worth a shot!
This week (tonight actually!), I’m starting a new program called Body Back (check it out here!), with a small group of mamas, and I am SO excited! It’s an intense workout program, with meal planning tips and whatnot, and I’m just really excited for the time to really focus on ME. Easy to overlook with all of my other daily duties of being a wife/mama/blogger. This is something just for me, to work on my mind and body, and I’m really looking forward to it. :) Wish me luck!!
Do you have anything exciting happening this week? I hope it’s a good one, whatever is in store for you!

My daughter started sleeping 2 hours longer in the morning the minute we moved her out of our room. I always tell my friends who are having sleep problems to try moving them out too. Apparently we are the ones waking them up instead of the other way around!
Katie
YES. Absolutely this!! I know it’s not a full-proof method for every single baby (nothing ever is!), but it sure did work for me, and lots of mamas I’ve talked to! :) Yay for more sleep, for everybody!

The bonnets Sophie wears just KILL me! I wish I had known to look for bonnets when my daughter was a baby, I just LOVE them!!!!
Katie
Oh my gosh, I KNOW. I’m just glad she lets me put them on her- it was always my dream to have a baby in bonnets. Melts my heart every time!
