Sassy. Independent. Wild. Sweet. Hilarious. These are all words that describe little miss Sophie Michelle to a “T.” A bit about her at 22 months old…
FAVORITES: She loves her cat (real and stuffed), all animals (especially cats and dogs- she always giggles and barks when she hears a dog bark), babies (she’s always going up to babies at the playground and wanting to hug them and points out a “baby!” wherever we go.
WORDS: oh this girl. She is constantly talking! Literally have lost count of how many she has, but it’s crazy. New words this month are “dah-pee” (coffee), “bootoo” (pumpkin), hat, “mala” (llama), she says “hi” to everyone and also “bye” whenever she thinks someone is going to leave (even if they aren’t, which is quite hilarious)
CHALLENGES: oh boy. The biggest challenge is her wanting to run away when we’re at the park. Discipline is tough, because it’s hard to know how much she understands, but we’re working on it and I know we’ll get there. ;) Also, those fits, when they turn into noodles? Yeah, those are happening. Ahh the joys of toddlerhood haha. We literally just try hard not to laugh during those times.
SLEEP: She’s still an amazing sleeper. Wakes up around 8am, and has one afternoon nap after lunch (usually 1-4 ish) and bedtime at 7! I know, it’s amazing. We are blessed to have a good sleeper!! But honestly, we were talking about this the other day: she’s such a good sleeper on such a routine, that she hasn’t slept on us since she was a wee babe. :( I miss that!!!
FOOD: she loves food! Haha! She is constantly wanting to eat, it’s pretty great. Eat, baby girl, eat!!! Her favorites are cheese, pasta, “brocci,” yogurt, peanut butter, hummus, blueberries, bananas… you get the idea.
She is so full of personality. She loves to give the side eye, loves to eat (everything!), will do anything to get a laugh (and she’s constantly getting laughs haha), she also loooves to dance! It’s the cutest! She’s always asking for her favorite songs: itsy bitsy spider, tiny tim (she was singing “bubble bubble bubble… pop!” in her crib last night while she was falling to sleep), goofy goober, and her current fave is “You’re Welcome” from Moana- she just says “melcome” to us over and over until we play it. ;)
And it’s true that they are always watching!! She comes with me to my workout class every morning, and she is always doing the workouts we do around the house! She’ll just bust out some squats, burpees, deep breaths, and sun salutations. It’s the cutest thing ever.
Annnnd I’m already planning her 2nd birthday, somehow?!?! Make time slow just a little, please!!
Sophie, you are our angel girl! We love you more than you’ll ever know.
