We went up to my dad’s place this past weekend. It had been a few weeks (okay… longer than a few) and it was really long overdue for us to get our butts up there. We had an amazing dinner of Indian food (chicken tikka masala, a.k.a. heaven in your mouth, and brown rice) and watched a scary movie, because it is October and that is what we do in October. It’s even on my Fall To Do list. See? We were going to watch a new one on Netflix, but it wasn’t working, so we opted for the always good Secret Window. Ugh, why I love that movie so much, I really don’t know, but I do. Probably has something to do with Johnny Depp. ;) And Zack had never seen it, so at least one of us was new to it. Saturday morning we had an amazing breakfast of eggs, ham and pumpkin muffins and enjoyed the beautiful day. The weather was absolutely perfect, and we spent a lot of time outside soaking up the sun. I love “fall” in California. ;) Zack got some really pretty flower pictures, too, and even got one with a bee in it! It was so good just spending time with Daddio. And also Kassie dog. She kind of loves Zack. We also helped Dad decorate for Halloween (check out his awesome haunted house- it plugs in and makes noises and has lights, too!) and met his new pelican, Pete. Yes, you read that correctly. Good weekend, good weekend.

Umm, I’d like fall in California aswell! It’s most definitely autumn here! We’ve been pretty lucky it has been unusually warm for this time in the UK. Up until this week that is! It’s sunny most of the time but it’s now time for coats, hats and scarves and the rain is making an appearance! Sounds like a perfect weekend other than the scary film – I don’t do being scared! I did buy some Halloween decorations yesterday though! x
Aww well autumn in the UK is just lovely, so I think I’d love that, too!! Let’s trade, k? ;) I usually don’t do scary movies well, either, but this is one that I just love. I don’t know why. The suspense and the crazy twist is just too good. And plus it has Johnny Depp, so that definitely helps!

When you say “up the hill” do you mean Auburn/Colfax? Because Glenn has family up there and we always say “up the hill” so its funny to hear someone else talk about it too! Small world :) Ps; we still need to meet up we just moved in to our new house (still in Tahoe Park) <3
Whattt you have an “up the hill” too?! Haha that’s too great! Ours is called Wallace, and it’s right on the south shore of Lake Camanche! Middle of nowhere and I love it :) And YES girl, we need to get together! I saw your photos of your new house, and it’s crazy how similar it is to ours!! Glad you stayed in Tahoe Park :)

Okay that picture of the bee and flower is just gorgeous!! Love how bright the flower is!! And Zack and the Kassie, adorable, Kassie just looks so content :). It was nice last week and the weekend, but this week, it’s in the 80’s :( haha California needs to get with the program. Family time is always good :) Glad to hear you had a good weekend!

Okay I hate hate HATE scary movies. I don’t even like watching the previews for them on TV. Needless to say October is not my favorite movie month. I will probably watch one scary movie with my boyfriend this month just to “celebrate the season” but that will be the extent of it. I live in Florida so it’s still a thousand and one degrees every single day. In the morning it’s getting a little cooler though finally.
haha yeah I’m a pretty bad scary movie watcher, too. I can’t handle the suuuuper creepy ones! For those I can’t even handle the previews, either!

Pete the pelican is the cutest! I pretty much love your dad…seems like the sweetest man ever! And isn’t it the best feeling to wake up in your parents house? It always makes me feel so warm and cozy even though it happens so rarely. So happy you had such a wonderful weekend!
