Mother’s Day is coming up, and today I’m sharing my favorite shops and gift ideas to get the mom in your life something special that she will love. As a mom myself, I can totally vouch for the personalized or curated gift- something from the heart made just for her will certainly mean so much!
Mother’s Day is a hard one for me, since my own mum passed away 4 years ago (how is it already 4 years?!), but now that I have my own babies, the day is a little sweeter again. So here are some ideas to make it even more sweet, for any mom in your life. :)
The Expecting Mama. She pretty much has one thing on the mind: HER BABY! So, get her a fun and unique (not to mention beautifully curated!) basket full of fun things for her baby! It’s sure to be a hit. :) I am a big fan of Bonjour Baby Baskets– she has the most beautiful brands in her shop, and you can pick from an already curated basket or create your own, depending on your budget! LOVE that! My favorites are the Little Unicorn swaddles, Rylee & Cru clothes and Maileg stuffed animals.
The Skincare Lover. I recently discoverd Erbaviva and LOVE them! They offer only organic products, and have a variety of gift baskets for different occasions. Getting a new mom (or older mom!) some nice skincare is a lovely reminder to take care of herself as well as her babies, something that is easily put to the wayside. This particular brand is so luxurious, and has something for everyone. Plus the pre-made bundles make it so easy to give as a gift!
The Jewelry Lover. This is a no-brainer and definitely a classic Mother’s Day gift. Put a personal touch on the classic piece of jewelry by engraving it with something special to her- maybe her anniversary date or her children’s initials, like this beautiful necklace from Vintage Stamp Jewels. Something that is meaningful and heartfelt is sure to make her smile, and I guarantee she’ll cherish this piece of jewelry forever.
Pretty little things. In this case, a cute girly nightie and lingerie (husbands, listen up!) are the perfect gift. I love everything I have from Belabumbum– they have anything from pregnancy to nursing to after! Loving this nightie, this robe and this bra. Also have this romper and love it!
The Babywearing Mama. It’s no secret around here that I love wearing my babies! For any mom of a baby/toddler, a baby wrap would make such a good gift! I love my Solly Baby Wraps– they are great quality, easy to wrap (once you get the hang of it!) and the most lightweight carrier out there (and I’ve tried quite a few!). Plus, the variety of prints and colors is amazing. I own the striped, polka dots and grey. See? I told you I’m addicted. ;)
The Sentimental Mom. A photo book is such a fun gift to put together and something that is sure to mean the most to her!
Something Fresh. A beautiful bouquet of flowers to brighten up the house is always welcome. Loving blush roses lately- and Costco is a great place to find them! Chocolate or a bottle of nice wine are always good, too.
Gift card! When all else fails, a gift card to her favorite clothing store is always good! Give her a day to go shopping and really spoil herself silly. She deserves it!
I’ve teamed up with a few of the brands mentioned above to give away a few of my favorite things! One winner per item- meaning more chances to win! :)
We’re giving away:
$100 gift card to Belabumbum | Erbaviva fit mom bundle | Necklace of your choice from Vintage Stamp Jewels | $50 shop credit to Bonjour Baby Baskets

My mom and I live quite a distance apart so for mother’s day I’m sending her a pink rose plant – pink roses are her favorites and I prefer sending plants because they last longer than cut flowers – and then treating her to a pedicure/manicure at the nail salon she prefers. For my mother-in-law, we’re sending a paint set – she recently started painting again (after giving it up when her kids were born) so this should be useful. Would prefer to be able to do something with them but distance makes that impossible on the day so hope they know I’m thinking about them.
I’m trying to organize a dinner on Mother’s Day this year – I’m first time expectant mother so it’s a big day for me this year, too, and I’d love to share the day with all of the mamas in my life to let them know how much I appreciate them (and how much I’ll be needing them later this year:))
I got my mom a beautiful bouquet of wooden flowers, over at ECO flowers! I then bought myself one for Mother’s Day. ???? I’m slightly obsessed!
I got my mom a baking dish for her kitchen cause she loves to cook and is retiring this year as well as a gift card to her favorite clothing store Younkers, so she can get some clothing for herself. :) My mother in love is getting flowers for her yard cause she loves working outside and a Starbucks gift card because she loves coffee.
I’m planning on taking my mom out for lunch!
My mom wanted tooth whitening for the longest but can’t afford it… So I bought it for her. It sounds silly but I know she will love it and the self confidence that comes with it…
A huge Backyard bbq at our home with my family& my in laws. We get the moms lots of lottery scratch cards. Everyone loves a stress free day hanging with the kids.
I always get my mom a plant for Mother’s Day. As for my (future) mother-in-law, I’ll send a card (we live four hours away). I’d like to send her something else though, other than a card, so I’m still working on thinking of something.
I’m going to be getting the moms in my life some flowers! Love getting them potted plants as they both love flowers!
My husband and I always make sure we visit. We live a few hours away from each, but we make the trip to see BOTH moms that weekend. We had a baby girl in December, so traveling is quite different now (lots of stops!) but the look on our mothers’ faces is worth it. We also bring potted plants so they can enjoy them inside for a few weeks and keep enjoying them once replanted in their gardens. AND MOMosas!
I love Mother’s Day! Becoming a Mother just last year has brought a new love and appreciation for this special holiday. Since my mom and I will be apart this Mother’s Day, I am having a local floral shop she loves, create a special bouquet for her and have it delivered. Yay for wonderful moms!
My mom is really not into “gifts” but she always loves just a heartfelt card, and quality time with the family. We’ll be celebrating with her the weekend AFTER mothers’ day this year, and she’s always happy to see her kids and grandkid.
My mom made it easy for me this year and picked out a big fluffy winter coat that she’ll be able to use next year.
I will be getting my mom a personalized frame of one of my favorite pictures of her and my daughter!
A night out for dinner!! That’s always something that gets ME excited as a mom.. a night that I don’t have to cook ;)
I got my mo m a personalized necklace with her grandchildren’s initials. Nothing sweeter than a gift from her grandbabies!
I love Mother’s Day! I have 3 babies and we spend the day with our whole family! This year I’m giving my mom and Grandma Nordstrom gift cards and baking them each their favorite sweet! Happy Mothers Day to you!!
I’m getting my mom a robe – she needs a new one. I’m looking for something really luxurious.
I plan to get mom a breakfast basket I saw on Martha Stewarts blog.
My sister and our 5 kids made grandma painted potted plants that we filled with succulents!
Merci pour ces idées cadeaux surtout l’album photo :-)
I’ll be having a brunch for my mom, nothing too intense bc Mother’s Day is 6 days before my due date for my first babe!
Awww so exciting!!! Brunch sounds perfect.
A sign for her lovely garden that says “Mimi’s Nest” with two little birdies attached for her two grand babies Joey and Andrew. Also lunch and mani/pedi !
We’re throwing a Mother’s Day brunch for the moms in my family (including me :) because we all LOVE brunch. And we’re making the boys cook so that’s even better. My sisters and I are also all planning a girls spa day for my mom so we can relax and spend time together.
My mom loves to garden so I always get her new plants every year. ????????????

Those are all simply adorable! I’m giving my mom a personalized Mom journal with memories of us from my childhood, and a set of Bible verses decor.
Loved this post, Katie! I got my mom an Apple Watch because she’s been wanting one for SO long and she is really into fitness and exercising and also technology so hopefully she will really love it! <3
Wow, what an amazing gift!!!
I am diying this year! Making a cute canvas with my handprint and my sons handprint with a saying “the only thing better than having you as my mom, is my son having you for a grandma!”
Being a mom myself I know it is the most rewarding And selfless job in the world. My son is only 1 1/2 now and seeing him learning so many things so quickly makes me extremely proud and as he gets older I will be able to be proud of things he does on his own from the values that I have enstilled in him so I think this year I will write my mother a very heartfelt letter telling her how grateful I am for things she has done and still does for me. Happy Mother’s Day to you! I’ve been following since before Sam was born and would like to just tell you you are a wonderful mother that goes above and beyond. Your children and lucky to have you.
Oh my gosh, thank you so much for saying that!!! You made my morning! :)
As a brand new mom to a beautiful 4 month old, it’s the first Mother’s Day as a grandmother for my mom, my mother in law and my husband’s stepmom, so I’m trying to make it special, which included personalized jewelry with their “names” on it…lovely bar necklaces I found on Etsy and flowers from Bouqs! I also found my mom a keychain that has “grandmas are mom with frosting,” as she loves cupcakes!
I’m putting together a little gift basket with several of the things you mentioned above! I drew my inspiration from these gift boxes that Sole Society was offering: http://www.solesociety.com/mothersday-giftbox-one.html.
I’m hoping to include a scarf, a purse, a necklace, and some fresh flowers. I’m also planning to get my MIL a bouquet of flowers and some handsoap for the grandma’s in my life.
Thank you!
Hi! So excited about this giveaway! Well this Mother’s Day I will be a mother of two! I’m 40 weeks and being induced this Thursday. Eeekkk! I don’t have a lot of family that live close to us. So I will be sending my mother a gift card via mail and of course a phone call. Love this post, and love watching you with your littles. ????
You are the sweetest!!! Congrats on baby #2!!! SO excited for you! :)

We are going to be painting flower pots with our son and putting flowers in them and doing a photo book of our son over the past year.
Since it’s my first Mother’s Day, and thus, my mom’s first Grandmother’s Day, she’ll be getting a framed photo of my son! Plus we’ll do our usual Mother’s Day brunch and flowers. :)
I’m getting my mom some skin care items that she loves!! She does so much for me and my baby so I know she’ll enjoy this gift!
My mom and my mother in law will both be getting handmade cards from my baby girl, as well as a picture of her. I love to craft for every holiday, and I love sharing M’s projects with the people that love her so!
I’m gonna be getting my mom flowers and a day out at the spa. Also take her out to brunch!
