One of our very favorite things to do when the weather warms up is to spend time in our backyard. We bring out our food, our drinks, music, toys, bubbles, everything. It all goes outside. Drawing with chalk, painting with water (so easy and no clean up required, high fiiiive!), running through the sprinklers, and of course eating outside. All the time. We even work out in our backyard (the breeze feels so good when you start to sweat!).
I’ve been really focusing on making our outdoor space more livable and inviting, since I realized just how much time we actually spend out there! Why not make it a fun place that is enjoyable and comfortable and looks good, right? An outdoor living space, in a sense. With the help of Walker Edison, I’ve done just that! They were so kind to send us their 4 piece patio set, which I absolutlely have been LOVING and plan on getting so much use out of this summer!
The love seat is the perfect size for me and Zack to relax on while Sam runs around the backyard and Sophie hangs out in our laps. The chairs are super comfortable too, and we love the table, where we can set our spread.

My favorite thing to do in the summer besides go to the beach ( I live in Michigan so beaches all around!) is to drag all of my favorite magazines and books outside along with a blanket- and lay in the sun. Also hiking with my husband and visiting waterfalls!
Anything that is outside!!! We love sitting out by the pool!!!! Love the furniture!!! Love reading your blog about your precious family!!!
Spending time outside is my favorite thing to do! I love getting friends and family together and playing bags outside! It gets pretty competitive!
We LOVE LOVE LOVE to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather but we also love to play out door games like kick ball and tag with our 5 year old and 2 year old.
We love after dinner walks, especially when they involve a stop at the play ground!
I love that patio set! We recently just got a set (super cute and cheap one from Christmas Tree Shops) for our deck, and LOVE it! My favorite thing to do is lounge out there and read a book, sipping on a cocktail. That’s absolute heaven to me!
We love to ride our bikes down at the bay and eat our breakfast, lunch, and dinner outside in our patio! Summer nights outside are the best.
We love bubbles around here! And watering the flowers, which of course turns into watering the babies :)
We love going on long afternoon family bike rides and walks with the dogs! Perfect time of year to be active outside with the fam!
We love to BBQ in our backyard! My husband has a smoker grill so he smokes meat and we enjoy drinks and chips and salsa while we wait. We have a big playset in the yard that our two-year old loves to play on while we are out there!
We love swimming at the beach!
Swimming in our pool for sure is our favorite outdoor activity! It’s usually combined with eating some juicy watermelon! :)
I LOVE running outside. Plus, a day spent in the backyard with the kids is not too shabby either! We just bought our first house and have no backyard furniture except for a swing set. I need to change that this summer!
We live in Texas, so it is unbelievably hot outside during the summer. However, we always seem to make our evenings out in the backyard. We have lots of neighbors who come over and grill out. This is our first time to have a baby this summer, so I see us utilizing the backyard even more now. We hope to do the same as you have, and get a set up that is perfect for our baby boy.
We love sitting on our front porch in the morning as a family in our 100 year old home. I often have thought of all the people who have sat there and what they have seen!
We love to make giant bubbles and let our toddlers chase them, and lay on the ground and watch the clouds/stars together! I am a huge outdoor lover and can’t wait to start using our patio at our very first home that we have purchased this month and started moving into this last weekend! We love to play lawn games in the summertime with our family! Badminton, bocce ball, frisbee etc. It’s the BEST time of year! We just bought a house and have a wonderful backyard for hosting. I can’t wait to get some patio furniture so we can start barbecuing!

We love to go hiking! We did it all the time when we were first dating, and have continued to, even after our baby was born. It’s hands down our favorite outside activity. Although sitting around a back yard fire makes a pretty close second…
I’m a stay at him mom and me and our 2 year old live outside most days. We play sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and pick flowers (dandelions). We have a playset that my little one plays on and I sit with a cup of coffee and a good book. Only problem is we have no lawn furniture, so I sit in the grass where my 130lb rottweiler thinks she’s a lap dog ????
We also grill out a lot but have to eat inside since there’s no where else to sit. We’d love to have some beautiful and practical lawn furniture to enjoy!
I have been loving taking my 2 dogs for walks in the woods! I am lucky enough to have a trailed wooded area right in my back yard! You can walk up to the newly installed splash pad, too! Unfortunately, no dogs allowed, but the kids think it’s great!
My favorite thing to do outside is spend summer nights watching the kiddos play in their water table, BBQ and enjoy some rosé!

My family and I spend as much time outside that we can. With a ten year old, five year old, and seventh month old baby, along with my fiancé we all find being outside very enjoyable. Our favorite outdoor activity is swimming!

I’ve been loving letting my daughter explore the outdoors and watch her excitement as she discovers new bugs, animals and plants. Can’t wait to move into our new house so I can post out back with her on long summer days, kick my feet up (I’m pregnant!) and let her run through a sprinkler and enjoy a kiddie pool!
We love to hang outside & just be a family in the summertime. Our toddler loves to run & play while we enjoy watching him. Our outdoor area is woren & full of cheap items pieced together when we married. Winning this would be a dream & would allow me to redecorate our outdoor space to something peaceful and inviting.

We love to be outdoors whenever we get the chance! We particularly enjoy lake days with our friends- each couple brings brats, buns. or sides, and we enjoy a a picnic together. Later we hike around the area or go for a swim. Our second favorite summer activity is to dine al fresco, whether that is at our favorite downtown spot or at home. Nothing like a glass of wine while watching the sunset!
Volleyball!!! We love having friends and family over to place volleyball in the backyard:):) outside is truly the best!!!!
Currently, our new favorite thing to do outside is to play soccer with our little 3 year old son in our new backyard. We love to eat meals outside, sip coffee in the morning on the patio, lounge by the pool & go to the beach.
My favorite summer activities is walks to the ice cream shop.
It might sound silly, but I love running in the summer. I know it’s hot, but sweat is a sign of accomplishment in my book. Being able to run outside is way better than on a treadmill. I even enjoy bringing my workout outside while my daughter plays on the swing set. :)
I love sitting outside watching my kids play. So relaxing, especially in the evenings when it isn’t so hot.
we are trying to get in the habit of having a family bike ride after dinner each night.

California transplant on the east coast and we can’t get to the beach as often as we would like, so anytime we see the sun, we are loving summer!
We love anything outside! Especially anything water related. We live in Tucson so during the summer it’s hard for us to find activities where we don’t get overheated during the day. But summer nights are my favorite, because you can sit outside all night long and be perfectly comfortable–having bonfires, snores, bbq’s, bean toss. I hope my 7month old son will love being outside as much as I do, so we are trying to do more and more outside, but right now it’s hard because we have literally nothing but dirt and rocks in our backyard.
We love to pack a picnic and eat by the lake, work in the garden, or spend time working outside on projects like the chicken coop :)
We love going on walks along the beach here in Michigan and i love watching my kiddos play in the warm weather!
