While we’re on vacation for our anniversary, I’m sharing a new post each day from our wedding. Enjoy! :) In case you missed the previous posts, here’s part 1 and part 2.
Getting married was the most exciting day of my life! I slept like a baby the night before (surprisingly!) and woke up ready to go! Then of course the instant I heard the string quartet playing “Canon” and I held onto my daddy’s arm, I kind of almost lost it. And he kind of almost lost it along with me. And I told him “Daddy, I’ll always be your little girl,” and afterward he told me that really didn’t help anything. Ha! My uncle is a minister, and he married us. It was so special having someone who really knows us both being the one up there with us. I knew I never wanted some guy I didn’t even know- that was very important to me. My friend Sasha read “i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart” by e.e. cummings and my brother Jeremy read 1 Corinthians chapter 13 (love is patient, love is kind…) and it was beautiful. We wrote our own vows that we read to each other, and every single person afterward told us how cute we were up there. After seeing the movie, I can vouch for that. We both couldn’t stand still or stop smiling! We were so ready to just get MARRIED, already! ;)

Beautiful! Where was your ceremony? Did you have the reception at the same place?
The ceremony and reception were at the same place, yep! We didn’t want to have to travel between them, and it worked beautifully! SO convenient, I highly recommend doing that if you can! It was at Vizcaya Pavilion in Sacramento, CA :) I have a link to it on my post called “The Reception”
