wellies: banana republic (old)
It is no secret around these parts that I’m a huge fan of Shabby Apple. So when I got the opportunity to pick out a beautiful dress, it was tough to narrow it down, to say the least. I decided upon the gorgeous Kanani dress, as it is different from anything I have ever owned, I love the adorable ruffles, and I thought it’d be cute with a little baby bump. ;) The bump hasn’t appeared yet, but when it does, you’d best believe I will still be rocking this dress! I love that it still looks good with tights and a wrap, as the weather is actually cooler these days! One of my favourite things to do is to bring my summer wardrobe into my winter one by adding tights and boots and warm accessories to create a whole new look! Gotta make that wardrobe stretch, right? And yes, I am sooooo breaking the “no white after Labor Day rule” because rules are made to be broken, especially fashion-related ones!
These are a few of my current faves from Shabby Apple. You can see my “I’m Late! I’m Late!” review here! You can follow Shabby Apple on Instagram or Facebook.
Do you own any Shabby Apple dresses?
Which is your fave?
Do you ever wear your summer clothes in the autumn/winter?

Ooh, yes rules are meant to be broken! Especially with a Shabby Apple dress! Great look!

Glad you agree about the rules thing! ;) And thanks!

I don’t have any Shabby Apple dresses. Yet.
Yours looks fabulous and I would definitely wear it all year round. Love it with the boots and trench coat. I bet you could even pair it with leggings, snow boots, a scarf and sweater for winter. Very nice outfit.

I think you may need to get yourself one, soon! They are just too cute! :) I will absolutely be adding tights for winter! I like the way you think!

I don’t own any Shabby Apple, but I can see why you like them so much. I love a dress that’s fun, but has a bit of Jackie O flair to it.
PS. Those wellies are awesome.

Nice dress. It was through your “I’m Late, I’m Late” post that I found you! I wanted to see how people were styling their “I’m Late, I’m Late” dresses and I simply loved how you paired those boots with the dress! And then you had also posted a pic of a Forever 21 red and white stripes (I think) sweater, like with a rain or an umbrella…it was sooo cute! I could not get my hands on that sweater and ended selling my “I’m Late, I’m Late” dress. I loved it, but it made my hips really stick out. I have huge hips!
Aww I’m so glad that you did find me!! :) Sorry that dress didn’t work out for you though, boooo. I’ll let you know if I ever see another sweater like that umbrella one- I know just what you’re talking about!
xo
Love this dress! Especially with the coat. The whole look is so fun for fall. Thanks for sharing!!
Aww thanks love! :) I love pairing boots with dresses, especially ones that you wouldn’t really think to put together!

You look like a French model from Paris! :) Pretty!
Awww you have no idea how much that is like the best compliment I could ever receive!!! :) Thanks for making my day, Laci!

Gumboots and dresses are one of my favourite fall looks – and I’m a big fan of stretching the summer wardrobe into autumn. Where is your trench coat from? Lately I feel like this is something lacking from my closet!
The trench is actually from Old Navy, and it’s super old!! I’m sure they have some this year, though. I love it and it literally goes with everything!!

I never follow the silly fashion rules-as long as something looks good! This outfit is totally rule-break worthy. I love Shabby Apple to, but I can’t afford it right now-haha.
Right?! As long as it looks good, there ARE no rules!!!
xo

Awww thanks!! :) It’s the best season(s) for clothes, that’s for sure!
