And now for something completely different…
I thought it’d be fun to talk tv for a sec. As a busy mama who works from home, I don’t watch that much television. Honestly, I just don’t have time. Between playing and reading and taking care of my babies, to working and writing and creating blog posts and social media posts and being a wife and a friend and… well, you get the idea… Life doesn’t allow for a lot of time spent in front of the TV. And I’m glad about that! Very glad! But this simply means that I am pretty particular about the shows I do actually end up watching. And no, that doesn’t mean I’m some elitist- when I do have some spare time, you bet I’m watching Teen Mom and PLL. ;) Buuuut, for the sake of this post, I just wanted to talk about the 5 shows I’m really looking forward to this fall!
1. This Is Us.
I’ll admit, the previews kiiiind of made me roll my eyes. Just a little. It felt like they were really overly trying to pull us in, and I was kind of expecting it to be a flop. I. Was. WRONG. We’re only one episode in, but I am already hooked. It was heartwarming, sweet, funny, REAL, the writing and acting were both excellent and it made me cry. A formula for a good tv show, in my book. And the twist at the end!!! Uhhhh… SO GOOD. Plus, it has Mandy Moore and Jess Mariano!!!! I can see this becoming a fast favorite of mine. I’ll keep you posted.
2. Dancing With the Stars.
See? I told you I’m not an elitist. I used to tooootally think this was the stupidest (not a word), cheesiest show EVERRRR. But that was before I watched it. I watched my first season of it two seasons ago (because Chris Soules, the Bachelor, was going to be on it.. I know… I should be ashamed of myself), and now I actually love it. This season, I’m not really crazy about any of the contestants, BUT I’m still watching. I like dancing, okay??
3. Designated Survivor.
Because, 24. (Only one of the greatest shows, everrrr). Don’t let me down, Kiefer Sutherland.
4. Blacklist.
This is a major obsession of ours!! So intense. So many twists and surprises. Ugh it’s just so, so, so good. And it’s back tonight! You can catch up on past seasons on Netflix too!
5. New Girl.
Since Mindy was moved to Hulu (which we don’t have), New Girl has become my favorite comedy on TV. I mean, how can you not love it? And Winston is the best. This one’s also on Netflix!

I love New Girl!! It makes me laugh so much. I am ready for Grey’s Anatomy, Code Black, NCIS, Criminal Minds and of course loved the new The Big Bang Theory. I’m sure there are others, I have to record them and watch them.

NEW GIRL YES!!!! I watched Designated Survivor and I’m hooked! I also love Hawaii 5-0 and all the superhero shows (Supergirl and The Flash, I’m so ready!) And DWTS is my all time fave, my mom and I watch it every season together!!
Awww I LOVE that you watch DWTS with your mama!! So sweet. :) And oh my gosh, Designated Survivor was SO GOOD!!! I am so hooked, too!

I have been DYING to see This Is Us. I have to admit, the commercials really did pull me in haha everyone was saying it would be the next Parenthood and I absolutely LOVED Parenthood. So I was super excited for the season to start. I plan to watch it tomorrow while the husband’s at work. I’m already looking forward to it. I also really want to start the new season of American Horror Story too. That’s another one I’ve been excited for.

Okay, I literally was thinking while watching This Is Us that it reminded me of what I’ve heard about Parenthood (which is a show I have been meaning to watch but still have yet to do.. it is on my list!!!) And I also really want to watch American Horror Story- especially since it’s fall, it seems like the perfect “Halloween” type of show. :) Again, never watched it, but have heard good things!

We are watching FarScape right now and love it, but what I’m REALLY waiting for is Empire to come back on! I’ve also really been wanting to watch AHS, but so some reason just haven’t yet-although everyone tells me it’s pretty awesome. Also, NEW GIRL. lol One of my most favorite shows ever.
A while back I wrote out a list of shows we were currently watching, and I thought you might see some new ones on it that you haven’t already tried (I think you would really like Switched At Birth-it’s on Netflix).

YES. I wasn’t convinced on “This Is Us” with the commercials because it seemed like they were desperate.. But I gave in & watched it the other night & was surprised how much I liked it– Especially the ending! “The Blacklist” & “New Girl” are also favs of mine! I’m definitely interested in “Designated Survivor” too! Ahh so many good shows on right now.. how I’ve missed fall! :)
