I feel so immensely blessed to be the mama to my two beautiful babies. Some days I have to pinch myself when I realize they are both MINE! This motherhood gig is a challenging one, don’t get me wrong, and it’s life-changing and hard and fun and incredibly rewarding. So many things all rolled into one massively important job. Mama. I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
I was thinking about my babies and this important role that I have to not only keep them alive and well, but also to help them grow into good human beings. Gosh, it’s kind of crazy when I stop to think about that job that my husband and I have. Beyond the whole “keeping them alive” thing (which is obviously very important), is to raise them to love God and to love people, to be kind and sweet and selfless, to help others and not take themselves too seriously. It’s a big deal, raising these little humans. And I hope to not just do it, but to do it well.
So today I’ve teamed up with Pampers, whose Premium Care diapers we absolutely love. They are soft, durable and hypoallergenic, so I feel good putting them on my baby’s fresh and delicate newborn skin. When Pampers asked me what my mother’s promise would be, it got me thinking that really my number one goal in all of this is for my babies to know how loved they are. I think that’s the most important thing, above all else: love. It really does cover a multitude of sins.
So here it is, my promise to my children:
I promise to always protect you and be there for you.
I promise to always let you know how very much you are loved.
And I will do this by not only telling you how much I love you each and every day, but by showing my love through my actions-
Through patience, calmness and nurturing.
And I promise to put aside one-on-one time for each of you, so you know your value and also know just how special you are to me.
Because you are the most special, my little ones. Don’t you ever forget that.
And I love you more than I could ever say.

I love your promise to your little ones! Mine for this same campaign is to always make time for playtime where I’m engaged and focused on her! Such a sweet post; I love it!

YES I love yours, too! Such a good promise- and one that’s too easy to not fulfill. I always try to remind myself to be engaged and focus on him during playtime!
