WHOA. So this is what happens when we leave Northern California for a week…. They get CRAZY weather, and we enjoy the beautiful perfect weather of So-Cal. :) :) :) That’s right: Zack and I went to DISNEYLAND for Valentine’s day!!!! :D We left monday, so we had a romantical road trip to celebrate v-day, then we went to d-land for like an hour or two, and then stumbled upon THE MOST AMAZING RESTAURANT EVER in Anaheim: fire + ice bar & grill. AH-MAY-ZING. Like, srsly. Zack and I were obsessed with it the entire time we ate. And, ohhh boy, did we eat A LOT! It was like a mongolian bbq type of deal but wayyyy better food (they had like every type of food imagineable), where there’s lots of raw food that you pick out and combine in a bowl, and then they grill them up for you on the crazy round open grill thing in the middle. We probably ate our body weight in food. And they were having a valentine’s special, so we also got this awesome blue drink thing that was the size of our heads combined, and fondue dessert! My mouth is watering just thinking about it all. I googled the restaurant when we got back, and was sad to find there’s only like 5 locations. The closest to us being Lake Tahoe. So… I know where we’re going every single time we go to the cabin! Heyyyy!! We spent the rest of v-day BOWLING at the coolest bowling alley we’ve ever seen. There were huge screen tv’s playing awesome music videos, and it was clean and not ghetto (read: the opposite of any that we have here) and it was the best way to finish off the best valentine’s day. :) Oh, and did I mention Zack got me my very own Android phone?! I am obsessed. It’s the first present he’s gotten me for a major holiday that wasn’t jewelry. But, of course, he done good. As usual.
So that was our last trip to Disneyland for a while, methinks. Our passes expire on May 19th (THE DAY BEFORE OUR WEDDING!!!) so we’re thinking it’s probably near impossible for us to make it back there between now and then, what with saving money for the big day and all the festivities leading up to it… So it was a good last hurrah. Of course, we will be back, because let’s face it, it’s like our favourite place on earth. And it’s kind of become like “our” thing.
But for now, I need to focus on GETTING BETTER (YES- I am sick AGAIN, and have been pretty much all week, starting last saturday when I almost passed out at work- but I sucked it all up for Disneyland and surprisingly felt great while we were there, but then we get back home and it’s all rainy and cold and dreary and I get to feeling all blahdksfdlnsdi again.) and saving moolah (which would be a lot easier if I actually WORKED, wouldn’t it?!) and wedding stuff!
Lots of pictures to follow, of all of our D-land festivities. First, I have to try to get work off…
