Another weekend come and gone. Weekends aren’t as amazing for me as they are for most, since I work Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. But… I don’t start until 5pm, so weekend days are still pretty great.
This is what last night consisted of:
+
Needless to say, it was a good night. (Zachary bought me those snowman peeps! They were, like, a quarter after Christmas! I was so excited!!!
………..
………….. It’s the little things.)
So, yesterday I ordered the bow ballet flats from my last post. I cannot wait for them to come, so I can know for sure that they fit and are as beautiful irl as they are online! Eep! I showed the beau, and before telling him I even ordered them, he told me “OMG YOU NEED TO GET THOSE LAST ONES. WITH THE BOWS.” Okay, maybe that wasn’t verbatim, but you get the idea. He knows me and my love of bows so well. Plus, he has good taste. :)
I’m trying to get a better bedtime routine going, which is pretty hard since I work nights, and sometimes don’t get home from work until close to midnight. But my goal (even on those late nights) is to get into bed BEFORE 1 am. The closer to midnight, the better. And on nights I don’t work, I want to get to bed by 11pm. Then I can wake up earlier, without being a sad panda / walking zombie.
I’ve been doing the P90X workout, and it’s going great! I actually really really enjoy it, and am always excited to do it each day. I just love how energizing the workouts are, and say what you will about Tony, but he cracks me up. I’ve actually grown quite fond of him (SHHH, don’t tell Zachary!)
It does look like he wears makeup in the videos, though…. Come on, Tony, be a MAN!
Today is Monday, and we all know what that means! THE BACHELOR! Can you believe this season? First of all, the women are all upset when they find out the Bachelor is Brad Womack. I never actually watched his season, but after they re-capped what happened in the first episode, I don’t get all of the hatred toward him. I mean, instead of pointing fingers and OBVIOUSLY not being over his rejection, Deanna and the other girl SHOULD have thanked him for not “choosing” either of them. THEY BOTH HAVE RINGS ON THEIR FINGERS NOW, but are clearly not over the fact that they didn’t “win” the Bachelor. Get real, women. I feel sorry for their “fiances,” who have to watch their ladies on national tv, flaunt their rings as a jealousy tactic? Seriously? They clearly have not moved on, and that makes me sick. Would they have rather had Brad propose to one of them, and lead them on, and have it all end in some terrible and very public break-up/ divorce? I think not. I’m a big proponent of the whole “rip the band-aid off” method. If the pain is inevitable, just do it now, and do it quickly, and get it OVER with. Can I get an “Amen?”
And then, there’s the sea of women this season. O.M.G. Where does ABC find these crazies?! Loitering around outside of the local Walmart, or what? There’s the vampire girl who wears fangs and tries wayyyy too hard to be “mysterious,” the plethora of MILF’s with their fair share of baggage, the “manscaper” who tries to rip all his hair off of him upon first meeting the guy (by the way, MANSCAPER? Really?) And of course there’s the handful of girls who never really talk or get any airtime, and then by the rose ceremony, you’re like “wait, who’s that? ” Those are my favourite.
I do have a few top picks, though.
I really liked Emily, maybe cus she’s just so darn pretty. But, she does have quite a lot of emotional stuff going on, what with the whole being a widow thing, and then also she has a little girl, but I’m rooting for her, and hoping that she really has moved on and is ready for “love.” (Okay, I can’t believe how cheesy I just was. I blame “The Bachelor.”)
I also liked Ashley S, the nanny. She just seemed so sweet and down to earth, and I can see her going pretty far.
And Lisa M was my other favourite. She was just so pretty and seems likeable. Mind you, these are all only first impressions.
I cannot wait for tonight, when we get to start really seeing what these girls are about…
Now, I want to talk about Chris Harrison for a second.
I love that guy. The things abc makes him do, and the awkward situations he is always put into, I swear that man has one tough job. And yet, he is a trooper every single episode, and is probably my favourite part of “The Bachelor.” I especially enjoy how EVERY single rose ceremony, he comes out to let everyone know (just in case they weren’t paying attention or couldn’t tell) that there is, GASP!, only one rose left! That’s just the best. Chris Harrison, what would we do without you?!
Are you so excited for the new season of the Bachelor? Or am I just crazy? I can’t help my love for reality tv, nor will I hide it! :)
Have a great Monday! I’ll leave you with a picture of Zachary and I from Christmas Eve at my aunt’s house. Ain’t he the cutest?!
Bisous!
YOU TWO ARE ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!! I can’t get over how beautiful you are! Can I come eat peeps and watch reality shows with you?!?! I am so glad you got those shoes. P90X kicks my trash ha! I LOVE the bachelor but I haven’t seen this season yet….I think you know how I will be spending my night ha! Have a great day!
You are too freakin’ sweet, STOP IT ALREADY! :D Yes, please do, come over and eat peeps and watch reality shows with me. Zachary pretends to enjoy it, but I think deep down he’d like it if I had a comrade to watch the shows with me, especially Bridalplasty and the like. hehe.
OMG have you tried P90X?! SO HARD but SO GOOD. haha. <3
