Okay, starting off this year’s gift guides with probably the most fun one to put together: the gift guide for KIDS! :) Including things we have and love as well as what we’re getting our kids this year! Really focusing on intentional and quality gifts that will last. Steering away from battery-operated toys (hi, zombie kids) and leaning toward things that encourage open-ended play, creativity and imagination! Sensory input is always good too. Plus, wooden pieces that are ethically made and built to last (vs plastic), and ones that will not break (and are- bonus- aesthetically pleasing)!
Sophie gets A NEW MOUSEY every year- we just love them for her dollhouse. They’re darling dolls that are heirloom quality.
We love TEGU WOODEN MAGNETIC BLOCKS! Such a fun creative way to build lots of things!
We have one SCOOTER in the house, and the kids share it, soooo this year the older two are getting their own! Love the 3 wheels, too, for an easier adjustment! We love this brand, and have THE MINI SCOOTER for Ollie.
Ollie has THIS BALANCE BIKE and LOVES it! Also is getting dang good at riding it! Helps build the balance and core strength needed for riding a bike! Plus, builds so much confidence. Don’t forget the HELMET! Practical and necessary, but also cute!
We are HUGE fans of LOVEVERY! Each box is thoughtfully curated with developmental milestones in mind, and every piece is quality made and won’t clash with your decor. These are open-ended toys and pieces that your kids will cherish and play with for years, and that you won’t get annoyed with and want to toss immediately. ;) Their block set is the absolute best, too!
And for little boys of the Sophie’s age ?
These would all make great gifts for boys, too! :) I chose toys that all kids will love!
