{since I can’t mail all of you a card, here’s our Christmas card to you!}


Dear Zack, when we were sitting in the office on our computers on Wednesday night and you asked me out of the blue “You wanna watch Elf tonight?”  Yeah.  That’s up there in the list of my favorite things you’ve ever asked me.  It’s the little things.

Dear $30 ribbon, remember when I spent $30 on ribbon at Michaels?  Did I tell you that?  Well.  I spent $30 on ribbon at Michael’s.  That was shocking, let me tell you.  I thought the guy was joking at first.  But anyway.  See that pretty package?  Yeah.  Totes worth every penny.  I mean, I got lace!  And, newsflash, lace ain’t cheap.


Dear friends, I filmed my Hair Tutorial video!  A few of you have asked me to do one, so here it is!  Hope you enjoy!  I feel like I’m not too awkward this time?  Maybe?  Even if I am, please just humor me.  It’s not the most natural thing to talk to a camera and all.  ;)

Seriously, if you have any ideas for future videos, I’m all ears!  They’re fun. :)

    I love you Christmas card, it’s so cute!

    I wish I could go as many days without washing my hair as you! I think I just secrete too many oils because my hair is almost unbearable after 1 day of not washing & I use the same dry shampoo as you! Props to you for not having to stinkin’ wash & dry so much!

      Thank you so much, girl!! Aww yeah, I guess everyone’s hair is different.. have you tried just using good ole’ baby powder instead of dry shampoo?? It might work a little better! But of course, make sure to rub it in really good haha. Don’t want white hair! ;)

    May I say again how glad I am that you mentioned you don’t wash your hair every day! My hair tends to be so dry, you can’t even tell the difference. I just wish my hair was as long as yours!

    Can you do a tutorial on how exactly you use the dry shampoo and blow dry your hair? I’m hair challenged. I grew up just putting it in a pony, and up until this (school) year, I actually straighten it more often.

    And let me tell ya Katie. Not sure if you saw on twitter, but this is my FOURTH DAY of no washing. RECORD FOR ME. However, I worked out today and it was super rainy and yucky so now I have to wash it. Bummer.

    Anyhow. So I used the dry shampoo and it helped… but it was still a bit oily. Not sure what I’m doing wrong :(

    LOVE that you wore your Beauty and the Beast sweatshirt for this video! haha aaaand YAY video!! Love it. Except 3-5 days between washings?! You are clearly one of God’s chosen. My hair requires daily washing unless I want to look like a homeless person with greasy locks. Booo!!! and your christmas card is BEYOND adorbs!! Heart you!!

    You are the cutest thing!! I love your tutorial video, you def have to do more of those :) I am loving your Christmas card too, it is adorable! I have to be honest with you, I tried to attempt your look before I even saw this post but it didn’t turn out so well because by the time I actually took pics my hair was all flat. I am a part your hair in the middle person myself, but tried the side part this weekend. You can see my fail attempts on my “weekend happenings post” :) Be prepared to laugh at my flat “Katie hair” attempt! I will def have to do another but will make you proud next time ;) lol!

    Your Christmas card is gosh darn cute. stop it. Love the hair tutorial! I actually have found that baby powder works really well as a dry shampoo. You just have to make sure you get it all well combed in or your hair will be white and that is just weird. but otherwise I have to wash my hair a lot. It gets too oily and just ick. I kind of wish I could steal your hair. It is perfect. Not to be creepy or anything. Just speaking the truth.

    Also, love the Ashlee Simpson song at the end in your little bloopers section.

    I found your blog on Pinterest and have been keeping up with ya! But I had to do a quick search for a hair tutorial from you cause your hair is always so stinkin’ cute! I am not blessed with thick hair, but mine is ridiculously long and I also only wash every 3-5 days (my friends think I’m crazy ;) I’m expecting baby #2 and also have a 16 month old girl, so I love reading up on your mommy stuff!
