Dear Zack, We FINALLY got our tree! Praise the Lord! Hallelujah! I am rejoicing over here, can you tell?! A home is not a proper Christmas home until that tree is in the living room, in my humble opinion. And especially seeing all of your blogs with your pretty trees and decorations, well, let’s just say I was getting a little jealous and sad over here. But! Jealousy does not become me, and thus! A tree was born! (What?) I don’t know. But look! My tree! :) It’s a little Charlie Brown and we named him Stanley. Stanley the Charlie Brown tree. And I love him, I really do. And hey! Guess what! He’s not crooked at all! We made sure of it.
Dear Baby Showers, I get to go to one of you tonight, and I am SO excited! It is seriously just way too fun to shop for babies, you know? I wanted to buy every single thing in the Target newborn section. Zack had to stop me from doing so. What ever would I do without him?
Dear Christmas decorations, so, um, I’m that person who will complain about nobody helping me decorate the tree, but then when my sweet husband puts a few ornaments up and actually starts to help, I end up having to move them all anyway because I mean, you guys. The tree. Everything must be in it’s perfect place, you know? My vision! My vision must be executed properly! So. I’m trying not to be OCD about the tree, but really. I am. So. There’s that.
Dear hair, I did that thing again where I couldn’t remember the last time that I washed you. And so I broke down and shampooed and conditioned and ugh. Now I have to wait a few days for me to like you again. That’s the worst.
Dear Friendsmas, you are tomorrow, and I cannot wait! We’re doing a pajama exchange this year, and I am excited to see how creative everybody got! Can’t wait to dance to Christmas music, have a few holiday beverages and be silly with my favorite girls. Pictures to follow, duh.

I think what I like most about Stanley is the single red Starbucks ornament at the top. A tree just isn’t right without one! I feel your pain when it comes to others decorating the tree. I had to forfeit all of my pretty ornaments in honor of my husband’s more childish tastes. But alas, next year will be mine!

a pajama exchange sounds like so much fun! My fiance’s grandma has done that for us on Christmas eve for years, then we have to wear them on Christmas morning. Just stumbled on your blog from Pinterest and I love it!

Hahahaha! You sound just like me! I rearrange every single ornament my hubs puts on the tree :) This year he put on the first 5 ornaments and called it quits after that!

Seriously…. it’s been SO hard for me to not go crazy shopping for our baby! We actually decided to spend our money on just the necessities instead of clothes and accessories and it’s KILLING ME! But someday we’ll run out of clothes and I’ll finally get to buy her some :)

Try ditching the shampoo. I wash with a cheap conditioner instead and then use a more fancy moisturizing conditioner. It leaves the hair just as clean but not dry and less frizzy. I can go 4-5 days without washing my hair and it doesn’t get nearly as oily as it used to.
Oh, interesting to use two conditioners! I may try that! I just much prefer my hair after a few days of no washing, you know? Natural oils and all that ;)

Your tree is awesome! Seriously love it. And I don’t like to wash my hair either, but more because I hate showers and less because of my hair. Although it’s really thick and takes a lot of time to dry, so that’s super annoying. And..Friendsmas?! That sounds amazing.

Your tree is gorgeous! I love the snowflake decorations! And I the same way with the ornaments and hubs is the same way with the lights. So what do we do? He sets it up and lights it, I do the ornaments (which is the easiest anyway thank goodness!)

I saw some lil baby/toddler PJ’s at Target this week that were so cute I thought about buying them and putting them on my dog (since I don’t have kids). It was so funny as I stood there trying to think of how I could justify buying them! lol
Awwww that would be the cutest thing EVER if you put them on your dog!! Haha I have definitely thought the same thing before. I guess we just need some babies, huh? ;)

Me and you are the exact same way about decorations. I’m all “no one wannts to help me.” and then they help and I’m like “STEP AWAY FROM THE TREE AND NO ONE GETS HURT.” haha I just can’t help it. My sister came over and helped a bit with ours and I had to hold back annoyed words because she put ornaments at the bottom of the tree that are never supposed to go there. But I was good and said nothing. so yay me. haha
