Yesterday was a big milestone for us. Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of the day that we quite our “real” jobs for good and embarked on the scary/exciting/did-I-mention-scary journey of self-employment! In celebration, Zack invited me on a date. It was actually really adorable. He just straight up asked me if I would go out on a date with him. Obviously, I said no way jose. Okay, just kidding. I said yes. I mean, duh. And so, off we went! We got drinks first and then had delicious food at p.f.chang’s, which I had never been to, and ironically, we even used a gift card from our old employers, that Zack had won at a work Christmas party the year before. Ohh, the irony.
I wore my favourite Topshop skater dress and my brand new Pins & Needles sweater that I had just recently scored off of Thredup. If you’re not new around here, you’ve heard me talk about Thredup before, and proclaim my love for it. I’m a sucker for a good deal, but still having nice things, capiche? Date Night ended with some mint Oreo ice cream on the couch. Perfection, if you ask me!

What a lovely date night! The last date night I went on was almost 2 weeks ago. The boyfriend took me out for restaurant week before I left to go overseas on vacation with my family.

Fun stuff!! We have wanted to try P.F. Changs for a date, but haven’t got around to it yet. Our last date night was while we were on vacay in the Ozarks last week. We went to a restaurant called Ruthie D’s, walked by the water afterwards, and then went back to the vacation house to eat Butterfinger ice cream. It was wonderful. I happen to love Thredup, introduced to me by you! So thank you for that! Another cheap online store that I love is Cotton On. Had a recent haul from them that included 4 two dollar t-shirts, a 5 dollar bag, and a ten dollar hoodie. They are having a big sale right now. Also, today I scored a swimsuit from Albion Fit for 44 dollars plus free shipping. (Their swimsuits are normally in the 100 dollar range, so that is awesome.)

Date night is so much fun. We have a 6 year old daughter, so we don’t get many “real” date nights without her often. We did have a date night last weekend.
