ohmygosh, guys, it’s august! can someone please tell me where june and july went? because they pretty much flew by. but ain’t it always the case. oh, summer, you beautiful thing, you.
this weekend was my dad-in-law’s birthday! i just love me some birthdays! we had a little bbq at their house, and guess what he got! corn hole! i had never ever played before (i think it’s more of a southern/eastern thing?) but o.m.g. where has it been all of my life?! it’s like…. bowling! in the lawn! with bean bags! and, not to toot my own horn or anything, but i am pretty much a natural. i may or may not have been the backyard corn hole champion on my very first day ever playing it. ;)
side note: i have this thing, where i pretty much won’t like a game until i win at it. does that happen to any of you? no? just me? well, i think that explains quite well why i have never ever liked monopoly. also, because it takes a million hours to play. ugh. monopoly. anyway.

i had never heard of it either, before this weekend! my in laws have family in maryland, and they played it there and decided they needed to bring it here! so glad they did!! it’s awesome!
ha, it made me laugh, too, when i was going through the photos. i had NO clue at the time that he just COMPLETELY removed my face. silly men and their photography skills!

and one year for christmas…we got monopoly and made the mistake of playing with my dad who would not let us quite until someone won…we played for like 5 hours! shoot me now!

I have to say that I can’t complain that time is flying: I wanna see the fiancé again so bad… I have to wait 3 more months, and that makes me kinda sad :(
