How has Thanksgiving already come and go?! This is just crazy, I tell you. We had a great time celebrating the holiday this year. Dad came over the day before and we had our own party. Thanksgiving morning we had a snuggly fire in the fireplace and watched the parade and then the dog show. Then we did our crazy two meals thing, like normal. Earlier meal at my grandpa’s and then a later meal at Zack’s aunt’s. We survived. We didn’t stuff ourselves silly (I know). My ratio of whipped cream to pie was on point. And Sam didn’t have any meltdowns! He even napped in the car between houses! Yay, success!

We’ve got a lot a lot to be thankful for this year, that’s for sure. Feeling very blessed and so grateful for all of the people in my life. I need to remember to be thankful for everything, all of the time, not just during the holidays. That’s definitely something to work on!
How was your Thanksgiving?

p.s. Be sure to come back all this week for my holiday gift guides! Tomorrow: My Gift Guide for Her!

Accidental traditions like your leg photos are one of my favorite parts of the holidays! It’s fun to develop your own traditions as an adult, and I have nothing but fond memories of the ones my family embraced when I was a child. There’s a lot of comfort to be found in those traditions.
Love the dress!

It is one of my favorite parts too! Traditions are the best- especially when not made on purpose! ;) I absolutely agree they add lots of comfort :)

Love your photo tradition! And I just skipped the pie this year and ate whipped cream, my heart was happy :) . I’m so so thankful for my job, but was upset that I had to work both Thanksgiving and Black Friday and not spend time with The Boyfriend and his family.
Katie
Mmmm sometimes you just need a big dollop of whipped cream. I’m fully on board with that! :) I’m sorry you had to work, but I hope you found time to celebrate around working!

That leg pic is SO CUTE! You better keep doing that every year! :) (Also I’m picturing you guys all cramming into together and taking that pic when he’s like 30 years old, that would be glorious bahahah)
Katie
Hahahah if he lets me, I’m totally going to do the leg picture when he’s 30!! ;)

I love your new hair! I desperately need to get mine cut. It’s been six months. Yikes! I’m just waiting for it to stop falling out- damn hormones!
Katie
The post-birth hair (and hair loss) is CRAZY!!! Like, it was growing back in all sorts of random ways, and it had been a long time since I’d cut it too (pre-pregnancy), so it was definitely time!
