Well hello there, friend! Happy Friday to you! I have a few things to share, because I am very excited about them, and so the natural thing is to share them, yes? I thought so. List time, since that makes the most sense.
{look at my smug expression in the left picture. My love for cotton candy runs deep.}
1. Our State Fair photo shoot pictures are all edited and up! We got together with our wedding photographer/friend Ryan to take some fun photos at the State Fair last month. It was such a blast! That guy is so super talented. Seriously, if you’re planning a wedding or know someone who is, you should definitely consider him as your photographer. My mom always raved about what a great eye he has, and it’s true! :) See more of the photos at RyanGreenleaf.com!
2. WE ARE GETTING CENTRAL A/C AND HEAT INSTALLED AS WE SPEAK. Like, right now, this is happening. If you’ve been reading here for a while, you may remember that I have never had central. Ever. Now, I know if you live in certain regions, like Seattle or San Diego or somewhere where there is no extreme heat, this is no shocker. BUT, if you live most other places, summers get hot (like streaks of 100+ days) and living with no central gets pretty miserable, for lack of a better word. Yes. Miserable. Now, I have always said (and stand by it!) that this little fact about me has made me one tough cookie. It’s built character, made me stronger, I’m no whimp with weather, blah blah blah. I would even tease a few peope I know saying they are “softies” because of their reliance on central. But who am I kidding. I only said all that because I HAD TO, OKAY. But now? We will be living in the lap of luxury in our little house with central air and heating and I AM SO EXCITED. Hence all of the caps in this paragraph. But really. I have my dad to thank for this (we rent from him) for seeing the light and installing central! Amen hallelujah!
3. We got a mini watermelon for $2 (!) and I’ve already single handedly eaten half of it. So. There’s that.
4. I ordered my very first Madewell purchase and I am really excited about it. Best part? It was a super good deal because I found it at ThredUp! (Click the link if you want a free $10 for newbies!) YAY.
5. This weekend will be spent watching movies and working and eating more watermelon and running and also just sitting in our house enjoying our new A/C. Like, seriously. Just sitting there. For hours on end. It will be glorious.
6. Tomorrow is Some Things I’m Loving link up! Come back and add your link with some things you’ve been loving this week, why don’t you? Pretty please? :)

Do you have central? Ever lived without it?
What food have you been loving lately?
Any fun plans this weekend?
Chelsea @ LittleOneRuns
Never lived without it, I honestly don’t think I would survive lol. I feel like I would melt. My room is always in the sun, so even with A/C, I melt. Loving my peach smoothies. Made one with 1 peach and 1 cup of lemonade, best smoothie I’ve had all summer!! Haha my weekend looks very similar to yours, movie watching and running, and a little relaxing for me :)
Katie
You lucky girl, you. Count your blessings ;) Living with no A/C is not easy! haha and ohhh my peach smoothies are SO GOOD. I think I’ll have to make one!

I grew up my entire life without central air. Then when the hubby and I bought a house central air was well, central on our must have list! :) I have been loving me some wraps this week for food. Garden tortilla, turkey, triple cheddar shredded cheese, pomegranate craisins, lettuce, and balsamic dressing…yum! I was inspired by the wrap you posted! Fun weekend plans include going to our State Fair. So. Excited.
Katie
Oh, girl. You and me both. I think it’s made us tougher, though. People who grew up their entire life WITH central are too soft ;) And YAY for wraps!!! They’re definitely my current fave, too! Glad to have inspired you!

Omg, for our first year of marriage, we lived without any heat (and 80 year old insulation) through a terrible Pennsylvanian winter. Do I need to say how having a hubs and 2 cats snuggling together on the bed made it so much better? I even played a prank where Dan’s friend dressed up in my winter clothes and sat on the couch pretending to be me, and Dan fell for it because that’s how covered we usually were even inside the house. haha! Now Korean winters are nothing compared to that!
Katie
Awww I can picture you guys and your cats all snuggling up! So cute! I love the prank!

Oh My Goodness. Those State Fair pictures are the bomb. You guys look so great. And also- I just moved from a house with no central air, to a house that has it. I completely know what you are talking about. Utah summers get soooo hot and dry. One day, it was 95 degrees… in my room. I’m happy that you guys are getting it. Much deserved reward for all of your hard work I’d say. :) xo
Katie
Aw thanks Shaq!! :) Ugh 95 degrees inside- that is just NOT okay. So excited to never have that happen ever again!!

Katie
Awww Laci, that is the sweetest thing ever!!!! We would have so much fun, I just know it!! :)

I can’t even take all the cuteness in the State Fair photos. She did an amazing JOB!!!! These better all get framed ASAP! And yay for the Madewell purchase….I must say, I still have not ever gotten anything there…I need to check out ThrdUp!
Katie
YES you do need to check ThredUp out! It’s the besttttt. :) And I will for sure be framing some of these pictures!

Hey Katie!!! I was wondering why you weren’t popping up on my blogger feed anymore. I was actually wondering how you switch from blogger to wordpress because I started a wordpress blog (pretty much the same as blogger) but I wanted to transfer all of my old posts too because it’s just nice to see what I was like 3 years ago sometimes haha. I read your hubby’s site and I think I will be making the switch fairly shortly and just shutting down my other wordpress blog. By the way I am loving these pictures they are so cute!!!
Katie
Aww that’s so awesome!! Yeah, I’m really glad I switched, but I was worried about not showing up on people’s blogger feeds :( Booooo! If you have any questions about the switch or anything blog-related, my hubby is always here!! He’s pretty awesome at it all!

Lisa
awww, I love your pictures!! :-)
Katie
Thanks Lisa! :)

I actually have no idea if I’ve ever had central air before haha. I always just set up a series of fans in my apartments during the summers. I’ve never lived in a place where there are extremely hot summers though!
Adorable fair photos – what a fun idea for the two of you to do!
