This is what I wore wine tasting this past weekend. It was the first day that really felt like SUMMER. I mean, Summer in all it’s warm, sunny, BBQ-y, Capri Sun-y (what?) glory. And it was absolutely lovely. A slight breeze did kick in during the wine tasting event, and but isn’t that always the case when I decide to wear a flowy skirt?! Anyone else have that problem? It’s almost like, “Oh, Katie’s wearing a dress/skirt today, so let’s have that wind start up, why don’t we?” “We” being mister wind and all of his weather chronies, of course. Because that makes sense.
So, it’s Wednesday! And I plan on taking full advantage of it, whatever that means. I’m grabbing today by the gusto, and checking things off of lists and working my little tail off and who knows, maybe I’ll make something extravagant for dinner tonight. But probably not. I’ll probably just make some quinoa tabouleh because that stuff is what dreams are made of. Seriously though, you should try it out.

Beautiful as always! I love the top and I have the same problem with skirts! I’m thinking summer in the UK was restricted to the gloriously hot bank holiday weekend we had last week, it has now returned to winter :(

You are always so fabulous. And this is so funny, but as soon as I saw that skirt in that photo, I was thinking about how it would be trouble in the wind ha! That happens to me ALL THE DANG TIME. I love to wear dresses and skirts but I swear it is a battle between me and the wind every time. I wore a dress to work last friday & went out to dinner with my parents aftewards. When we got to the restaurant, I had to have my mom close my car door for me because I had to hold my dress to my sides and basically waddle to the restaurant. It was not amusing. And my dress did fly up a bit. The people at Applebees got a show. Nothing to see here, people!

That wind thing is the primary reason why I pretty much only wear light, flowy, shorter skirts like that to indoor venues. :P But I love your look: comfy and classic, that’s for sure!
