Hey guys! Happy Monday! I feel like our lives right now are just in limbo. We’ve got lots of big important LIFE things happening, and so many of those things are just… waiting… to happen… right now. And it’s so hard to be patient and it’s so hard to not worry, but we just keep reminding ourselves to breathe deep and KNOW that God has it all under control. We may be “IN ESCROW”! (as TJ from Gilmore Girls would say, ha!) but we’re trusting the process and praying to be on the other side soon… This weekend could have been filled with worry and it certainly had lots of uncertainty, but we made the most of it and enjoyed ourselves, and ultimately smiled through it all.
Because if ya can’t laugh, ya cry, amiright? ;)
No but seriously. We’ve been laughing a LOT these past few days. And here’s some pictures from our weekend…
Who doesn’t love a good bird sighting?! Sophie was CRACKING up for so long, saying “Birdy!” in between her belly laughs, and Sam was amused too. It was the cutest thing!
Date night-in’ with my boo. Started with coffee and work (always!) and ended with dinner, drinks, dessert…. and more coffee and work. ;) Wouldn’t have it any other way. I love our moments away together, and I love working with my best friend. He makes it all fun!
We took the little miss to Target and let her get out of the cart for the first time… She was LIVING LIFE, pushing the cart all over the store and putting all of the toys into it (and Zack promptly removing them behind her back haha!)… She was in heaven, that is, until we had to LEAVE. Then we got a pretty epic meltdown and were “those people” carrying their screaming and crying toddler out of Target. And holding back laughter. ;) I mean. It was hilarious. She was literally crying through tears, “More Target!!!” I can’t even be upset. I was mostly just proud.
Sophie got to come with me to pick Sam up from preschool last week, and it made her DAY. She looooves picking Bubba up from school, and this particular time, we came into his classroom and he saw me and gave me a HUGE hug (heart melted) and THEN walked over to Sophie and gave her a kiss on the head, with NO prompting at all!!! I MEAN. I died, right then and there. The BEST.
Last week we had a few rainy days and so what do you do when you’re stuck inside all day with a toddler? YOU GET MESSY! Duh! So we painted. And she loved every minute. (So did I).
…Also, this was the beginning of the painting sesh. By the end, she was painting her legs and feet and hands. It was awesome.
Now it’s MONDAY! And this week is full of big LIFE things, mainly our two walk-throughs at our new house!!! Praying it all goes smoothly… Believing it will!
