Happy Memorial Day! My grandpa was a tail-gunner in a B-17 during WW2 whose plane was shot down and who lost his eye and spent months in a prisoner of war camp in Czechoslovakia. He later came home, married my sweet grandma and raised three awesome kids (one of which was my daddio). He was a funny, kind, silly, down-to-earth, humble man and one of the very first men I loved! :) He is my hero and I miss him every day. I love you, Grandpa and “we’ll keep in touch!”
To me (and many many others, I know) today is the official unofficial kick-off to Summer Summer Summer tiiiime! It’s my favourite time of year. I was born in the Summer, that may have something to do with it. I am a Summer baby through and through. The sunshine, the warm longer days, the freedom attached to it, all of it is just ingrained in me, I think. So. Here’s my list of Summer things I must do! See my previous to do lists: Fall, Winter and Spring.
Turn 26. Yep. That’s happening. June 26th, too. Isn’ that called something? My “golden birthday” or whatever? Yeah, I don’t know, but that’s that. And I’m excited.
Lake days. My dad lives by a pretty big lake and we plan on spending many days kayaking and soaking up some vitamin D and enjoying ourselves! Also, swimming in pools as much as possible. I love the water, any way I can get it.
Stay healthy. Continue making my health a top priority and working out daily! Keep active and involve loved ones too! :) I’ve learned just how much I never ever want to take my health for granted.
Farmers Markets. They are the best in the Summer, when we can wander around in the open air and buy fresh berries and vegetables and pretty bouquets of flowers.
Antiquing. And also thrifting. Nothing better than spending a whole day rummaging through antique shops and finding little gems.
Beach vacation. Toes in the sand, the smell of salt water in the air, the calm of the waves. I love it, I breathe it, I need it!
Road trip. Preferably to the beach. Two birds with one stone and all. (This is happening in a week and a half!!!)
Eat lots of sno-cones. And fresh fruit. And salads. And smoothies. Summer food is the best.

Bike Rides Galore, fresh fruit smoothies, beach trip, anniversary, cool evening walks, and I think that’s it :). I would love to go kayaking!!

its your champagne birthday! 26 on the 26th! that is my grandmothers birthday as well! (but shes not 26 hehe) i’m all about summer as well mostly spending as much time as possible outside… in calgary summer is three jam packed months of getting in all the fun before its miserable again! too much to list!

i love summer too. hopefully it doesn’t get overwhelmingly hot this year but it’s filled with so many lovely fun activities! love the beach. it’s my absolute favorite part!

I love summer to do lists though I always fail at making them. Yay for birthday! I’ve already been getting excited for mine and I still have two and a half months left. Road trip & time at the lake sound grand. I bet you are going to have a great summah.
