Dear salads, you are all I have been eating for lunch lately, and I’m more than okay with it. Today’s salad? Romaine lettuce, apple chunks, cheese cubes, walnuts and strawberries. Drizzle some raspberry walnut vinaigrette on top, and voila! I call it my “summer salad.” So good!
Dear Two Year Anniversary (on Monday!), cotton? Really? Who are the ad wizards that came up with this one?! (If anyone knows where that is from, bonus points to you!) But seriously, I can’t even give him cotton balls as a joke, because he hates cotton balls. Yeah, it’s just one of those weird things. So. Cotton. Fun.
Dear beach, we will be lying on you in a few weeks, and I cannot wait! It has been a very hard start to the year, and I just feel like this vacation is a godsend. Our minds, bodies and souls entirely need it. And I was getting stressed that it wasn’t even going to happen, but! God provides and amen hallelujah it is really happening! I could not be any more ready to soak up the rays and lay in the sand and feel the salty ocean air and sand between my toes and the cool evening breeze and the glasses of bubbly and everything that is awaiting us. It’s so close I can feel it, and I just know this trip will be a defining one for us. We really earned it this time. Plus, it’s for our anniversary, so that will make it extra special.
Dear Zack, I loooooove you. That is all.

This whole theme with each year of your marriage is all new to me. Never heard of it. My hubby and I will be celebrating our 5 year this fall. I will have to google what the thing is for year five. :) In terms of cotton ideas hmm…there is a website called Cotton On that I love shopping at. Or you could get him a cotton t-shirt or cotton underwear? Or a cotton pillow? Cotton Candy? Hmm…that is all I got at the moment. Happy Anniversary in advance to you both! For cotton I did a tshirt and a I made him a pillow. Other options: sheets, towels, other clothes, throws. Hope that helps!

We do those anniversary gifts too! For our 2 year, I got my husband underwear and q tips haha. He got me cotton balls and chocolate (the chocolate had nothing to do with cotton. I think he just felt bad giving me just cotton balls). Happy Anniversary!!
