summer is winding down, i can feel it. sure, the temps are still in the upper 90’s, but things are changing. plus, it’s already august 23rd. whaaaat? wasn’t it just the 2nd, like, yesterday? anyway, in honor of summer coming to an end (wahhh- i’m fighting this as much as i can, i promise) we went to a good ole’ fashioned baseball game the other night with my in laws! because what’s more amerrrican and summery than a baseball game, am i right? and it made me happy, because it gave me a false hope of “hey! summer’s still here, and it’s sticking around for a while longer, because i’m at a baseball game and it’s fairly hot” but then i got chilly and put my sweatshirt on, and all that kind of made me question things. but anyway. like i said, i’m fighting this whole summer-ending thing with every fiber of my being. plus, we’re in california, so we’ve got lots of summer left still, right? right??
in other news, i’m a sucker for bows. if it has a bow on it, i will want it, i assure you. it’s just that simple. also, that is a carrot on our bed. i knew there would be questions about that, so i thought i’d nip that one in the bud right away. we like our produce, as demonstrated in this post. see?
Yeah I think you’ll have summer for a bit longer over there because it’s Cali, but you’re right, fall it just around the corner! And I’m loving your bow skirt too :)
i’m hanging on to summer as long as i can!! and thank you, girl! such a compliment coming from you :)

I’m so sad to see summer go! Although I do love fall/winter clothes. I would love to go rafting/to the lake one last night. Nothing says summer like a weekend at the lake house.

agreed! lake weekends are one of my favourite summer activities! we used to have a cabin and would spend every summer at it, swimming in the little lake near it. those are some of my best memories.

I still can’t believe August is almost over! This is the first time in my life I’ve wanted summer to end and winter to get here already! It may have something to do with a due date and a baby girl? Ha ha.
Baseball games are the BEST! Soooo fun.
