When I think “summer nails” I think of bright neon pops of color. I picture fun, flirty nails that are fashion accessories in their own right. I am a self-proclaimed “nail junkie” and own more nail polishes than I care to admit (and than my husband will ever understand) and am constantly picking up more colors. I heart my nail art, what can I say. I wanted to share a fun little tutorial on how to paint your nails like I did, using Sally Hansen nail polish. I’m no “artiste” so this tutorial is super easy to do (trust me) and also fun!
I checked out the awesome selection of Sally Hansen nail polish at Walgreens (using my Balance Rewards card of course, because we always like to save as much money as possible) before deciding which ones I wanted to get. There were so many choices, but I had my vision to complete my Summer nail stash.
I picked up Sally Hansen Insta-Dry polish in “Peachy Breeze,” which was the most neon color I could find! It claims to be “fasy drying” which I love too, because ain’t nobody got time for waiting for-ev-er for nails to dry! I also got a nail art pen in “Pearly White.” I was super excited to try out the pen, as I’ve never used one before on my nails!
I applied the polish to my nails, and was pleased to see that they really are fast-drying! Score! In no time at all I was ready to start with the pen! Note: Make sure that your polish is completely dry before applying the pen.
Once they all are dry, voila! The final product! My fun Summery nails!
Of course, any post of mine would not be complete without an outfit to go with it, so this is what I styled around my new nails! I wanted the neon color to pop, so I went with a darker outfit that would really show off my fun nails.
p.s. From 6/2-6/29, Walgreens has Mix n’ Match BOGO 50% off on Insta-Dri, Fuzzy Coat, Sugar Coat, and Nail Art pens and Xtreme Polishes (which is what I used above)! Also, you can get a complete salon manicure $2/10! Gotta love a good sale!
