So, Zack got himself some fancy new shoes (thanks to my dad, the millipede!) and that means we can officially start running on the reg now! YAY. Sunday morning runs with my man are really high up there on my list of favourite things. Also, grocery shopping and sleeping in. And other kinds of shopping, because, well. Shopping.
Speaking of shopping, Saturday night was spent doing just that! We had a few gift cards to use, and so we went all over, really, and ended up at the mall! On a Saturday night! And it was my husband’s decision! What?! Who is this guy, right? My hero, that’s who. And we ate dinner al fresco, and hey! Guess what! Panda Express has brown rice now! So, that made me a happy girl. Brown rice is really good, people.
And then we watched Sharknado, and I was so not amused. But, I mean, he took me shopping, so the least I could do was watch a terrible movie with him. And terrible it was. And there’s going to be a sequel? Oh, goodness.

I too love it when the man goes shopping with me :). Did not watch Sharknado, but I really love horrible movies like that lol so I most likely will watch it when the second comes out. I actually kind of miss my Sunday runs I use to have, but I have to take a break someday. Enjoy your Monday :)

OH NO! Sharknado was awful?? It’s on our DVR and I keep putting it off but soon I’m going to have to surrender to watching it! Ah!

i got to go shopping this weekend for michael. and michael only. which means- not fun. the boy is too picky!!
Haha my husband is for the most part not toooo picky, which makes it really fun for me to shop for him! :) But I can see how frustrating that could get.

I have never heard of Sharknado…perhaps I know why now. This weekend I shopped on Michigan Ave. in Chicago!! It was amazing. Really the whole trip was a blast. I got yoga pants and sunglasses from Forever 21. Picked up another pair of sunglasses for my sister from Urban Outfitters. My husband got Diesel shoes, on sale. I got an adorable pair of lace panties from V.S. (sorry that’s t.m.i.) and my huge splurge was a pair of jeans from Madewell. I just can’t go cheap on jeans. I have a long torso and shorter legs, so finding jeans that fit is super hard. My other fave part of the trip was that my hubster planned a surprise dinner cruise for us on Lake Michigan for Friday night. It was so gorgeous and seeing the city skyline as the sun set, yes please! He noted ahead of time when he booked it that it was our anniversary, so the crew set up a private table for us with red rose petals and an anniversary card. So sweet! I think I could live in Chicago and I wouldn’t hate it, but who knows, maybe I would. I am a small town girl at heart.

I did some great shopping this weekend! New running shorts from Lululemon, 2 pairs of festival-ready high waisted shorts from AE (nobody does denim like them), Adidas haul at Sportchek and and lots of sale goodies from Aeropostale :) I’d like to convince myself I’m set for the summer, but more shopping is always inevitable, don’t you think? xxx
