I can’t believe it, but my boy is starting kindergarten this year! His preschool graduation was super emotional, and then saying goodbye to the school and incredible program he was a part of for two years was really hard, too. His teachers and tutors became like family to us, and it was so bittersweet leaving that chapter of our lives. But now it’s time for a new journey- kindergarten! Now, our kindergarten doesn’t look like the “traditional” kindergarten. He’s actually going to a center-based ABA class with other kiddos on the spectrum. He’ll be spending his days in the same routine as school, with circle times and recess and learning centers, but with the additional support that he needs. It isn’t your typical classroom setting, but when did we ever do anything “typical,” right? ;)
To get him all ready for back to school, we picked up some new clothes, because we all know the most fun part of “back to school” is the cute clothes! Anybody else used to spend hours picking out the right outfit for the first day of school?! I am so guilty of that, every single year. Surprised? Thankfully, Zappos has the CUTEST selection of boy clothes for him, and we snagged this adorable navy hoodie from Psycho Bunny Kids. Sophie loves the little bunny on it. :)

Sam has grown so much his past year, and I’m really excited for the future and all that is in store for him this coming school year! New campus, new tutors (what they call their ABA therapists- I love that!), new program, new goals to absolutely CRUSH, but the same sweet and smart boy who is going to go so far! I’m excited to watch him thrive and grow.
