So this was another busy weekend for our little family! Saturday night was a SITS girls/ Mirassou event, which was so informative and also fun. It was our first outing just me and Zack, minus Sam, for longer than 1 hour- date night!! ;) We learned about blogging and also got to taste some delicious wine and eat delicious food. It was a great experience. And I’m pretty much a sommelier now (yes, I had to google how to spell that, even though I was a French major… that’s not really a word I learned in school…) Sam stayed home with his grandparents, and I think everyone had a good time, all around. It was nice getting away just us two, for a little while. I love that man of mine.
My baby is 10 weeks old! He’s getting so good at holding up his head, and tummy time is more fun now. Like, he doesn’t start screaming instantly any more. ;) He’s enjoying baths now too, but we still have to be super stealth at bath time. Like, everything must move veryvery quickly, otherwise the waterworks start! He knows us so well now, and loves to give us the biggest grins on a daily basis. He loves being sung to and read to and will stare at me when I’m talking, mesmerized. He loves his mama. :) He giggles and talks a lot, and I love hearing his little voice. He’s also a big grunter, and is constantly making little noises. He’s sleeping better too, hallelujah, praise the Lord! He’ll get a solid 5 hour chunk at night now, and we’re sure appreciating it! He’s so strong, and grips our fingers with all his might. One of his favorite things to do is to stand up (!!) with help from us, of course, but he puts so much pressure in his little legs, pushing against the ground or our laps, and it’s an instant grin once he’s “standing”!
We just love our little Sam Sam to pieces, and he gets better and better with each new day.
