If I had to describe my style in two words, it would be cute and casual. Growing up in California has really played a huge role in my style and what I identify with. California life is easy-going and laid back, just like my style. The California look is always classic, cool, casual and effortless. This is definitely what I strive for when creating my own outfits! I guess these Cali roots run deep. ;) So when Nordstrom asked me to create some casual cool fall looks, obviously it was a no-brainer! I could think of a million! But I’ll just be sharing two of them here today. These two outfits are the perfect summer-to-fall transition looks. And as always, totally casual cool.

I’m always sharing Nordstrom here, and it’s because I love them so much. Hands down my most shopped store, they’ve got FREE shipping and free returns (so good! Still not sure why every store hasn’t gotten on that train yet?! It’s genius! I don’t know about you, but I HATE paying for shipping!), stellar customer service (the best!), high-low fashion and something for every occasion imaginable! Plus, they’ve got women’s, men’s, kids, shoes and accessories and home! Literally everything! Clearly I’m a big fan.

This dress is a new favorite find for fall! I am loving the midi length and the stripes- absolute perfection! It’s great by itself (with a chambray tied around the waist) for summer, but for fall I just threw this cute cardigan on over, with some classic Vans (how California is that, amiright?!) and voila! A black fedora is ALWAYS a good idea in my book- this one is vintage (it was my husband’s grandfather’s, how awesome is that?!) but I found a similar one here!

And now for a cooler weather look! These jeans guys. They are LIFE CHANGING. If you haven’t tried them, you NEED to. The waist is elastic, so it’s like wearing maternity jeans without them actually being maternity, and they are SO flattering and comfortable and OMG. I could go on. Just try them for yourself. Trust me on this one.

I paired the jeans with my fave basic tee, the same cardigan (see? SO versatile! My favorite kind of piece!) and some booties that are just screaming for FALL! This is easily one of my go-to looks.
