glasses: firmoo (here)
dress: h&m (old)
Remember when I told you I had a review coming of my new glasses? Well, I got them the other day, and so here we are. I always get excited to try a new pair of specks! Heck, even if I had 20/20 vision, I would still be excited to get some glasses. I mean, what easier way to look super intelligent, am I right?! Anyway, Firmoo. I’ve worked with them before, and have always been impressed by their customer service, quick delivery and just overall awesomeness. My favourite part of their website is for sure all of the reviews that are available, by real people. They work so closely with fellow bloggers and people that post a bunch of pictures wearing the glasses, so you know, you can actually see what they look like on an actual face! Genius? I think so. As someone who loves shopping online but still gets a bit of anxiety every time I am trying to make decisions about whether something will actually fit well on my person, it’s really important to have a LOT of pictures of an item to see if it is all it’s cracked up to be in real life. You know what I’m saying? I can’t be the only one who’s like this. I mean, especially when it comes to prescription glasses, it’s super important to be as sure as you can be that they will actually look as good on a real human face as they do sitting there all pretty in the product shot. Firmoo is the best at this. Not only do you get to see a bunch of pictures of the prospective glasses in action, you get to see them on all different sizes and shapes of faces! YAY.
Another awesome part of the Firmoo website is that if you don’t trust all of the pictures of other people’s faces wearing the glasses you are about to get, they have this cool virtual try-on thingy where you upload a picture of YOUR OWN FACE and can see what the glasses will look like on you! I know. It’s really cool. And also really fun to play with. I like to put super terrible glasses on, just for fun, and see how awful they look on my face. Plus, they have a first pair free program, where all you have to do is pay shipping! Pretty sweet, right?
Now, on to the main point of this post, and for me that is Firmoo’s customer service. You see, I made a mistake in ordering my glasses. I am human, these things happen. I totally spaced and put in the wrong prescription. And so upon the arrival of my glasses, I tried them on immediately (duh) and was like whoooaaaa something is not right here, folks. It was off. My vision was bad and giving me a headache. Then I realized I had put the wrong prescription in when I ordered. Stupid Katie. So I emailed Firmoo immediately explaining my mistake, and they were so gracious about it, asking for my correct prescription and letting me know they would send my new glasses out ASAP. I mean, hi. No questions, no scolding me, no saying “well, you’re S.O.L.”- none of that. Just a friendly “Okay!” and they fixed the problem that I had made. And that, my friends, is why I love Firmoo. It’s nice when companies understand when people make silly mistakes, and don’t reprimand them for it. That right there is the definition of good customer service. SO, my new glasses are getting ready to be shipped out, and upon arrival you bet your bottom dollar I will be wearing the heck out of them. Because I mean, look at them. They’re big and nerdy and I love ’em.
