Le Weekend: Birthdays, Dance Parties and Al Fresco Dining

This weekend was so fun! The weather was lovely and the company was even lovelier. Friday was my bff’s birthday dinner, with two of my favourite girls in this world, Katie and Kara. We went to a fancy restaurant and then back to bff’s house where we proceeded to watch a Disney sing-a-long video that belongs to my bff’s little girl (who is 3 TODAY, whaaat?!) and then had a dance party to Ke$ha and Katy Perry songs. Yes. Like I’ve said a million times before, we are ridiculous. And also like to have a good time. So. A good time was had!

Saturday, the hubby and I headed up the hill to hang with Daddio! I made some delish Rice Krispies Treats and Daddio made bbq hamburgers (the BEST ones I think I’ve ever had, by the way- look at those grill marks!) and we enjoyed the amazing food, watched some college basketball and then watched a movie. Side note: “Super 8” wasn’t very good.

Sunday morning we walked to the lake by my parent’s house, then had a yummy breakfast “al fresco” and did some online shopping! Because no weekend is complete without it. Duh. Also! We saw two bald eagles (and a hawk, hence why there are 3 birds in that picture)!! That was pretty much the coolest thing ever. And they were pretty close to us, too! This is the best picture I could get, because my zoom sucks (new lens for my birthday? I think so!) You’ll just have to believe me. They were bald eagles and it was awesome.

    Your weekend looked like so much fun! All that food looks delicious! Dance parties are awesome my little girl and I have one almost everyday lol!! We did a little shopping and enjoyed the sunshine and warmer weather !!

    You guys need to take a trip to Alaska. There are bajillions of bald eagles here. They’re literally EVERYWHERE. You’d be able to take a close up picture just by walking down to the beach or the river where they fish. One time we went outside and there was one sitting on our car…scratched up our paint job!! Jerk eagle…Haha.
