I don’t think you know just how great this is. It rained all weekend long! We always joke that us Californians don’t know what to do when it rains (or when we get any “real” weather in general), but it’s actually 100% serious and accurate. We literally are like, “WHAT IS THIS GLORIOUS WET STUFF FALLING FROM THE SKY!?”
But seriously. We’re easily impressed. ;)
ANYWAY. It rained and it was really nice. We stayed cozy and watched the rain out the window and colored seasonal drawings done by yours truly (yes I know my artistic talents are vast). My babies? They looooove the rain. On Sunday we headed to church, and when we ran from the car inside and vice versa, Sam literally had the BIGGEST grin on his face the whole time! He couldn’t get enough!! I want to be as excited about anything as Sam is about rain. It was so sweet.
Speaking of church, little miss was in nursery for the first time!!! AND she did really well! She only cried “on and off” to quote the sweet nursery ladies. Oh, okay then. Better than the whole time? haha but we expected that. She is suffering from some serious 9-month-stranger-anxiety. I’m just happy she made it through the whole service, and I got to sit by my honey the entire time! Huge victory there!
Also, THIS TOP. I’m literally obsessed. It’s my favorite style of top, I’ve decided. Flowy and loose, but cute with the prettiest most feminine cut, and the sleeeeeves. Oh, the sleeves are everything! Thanks to Closet London for this beauty. Now, I need more colors!!!
This weekend, I also cleaned the blinds. I think if we were to rank household chores by likeability, cleaning the blinds would be at the veryyyyyy bottom of that list. I really can’t think of a more tedious/annoying/unlikeable job. But now it’s done and they look so good, and I am going to be really annoying about it and ask any guest we have in the next month, “YES, HELLO, BUT DID YOU NOTICE OUR BLINDS?!”
Really though, I’m quite proud of them.
Something cute that happened: I was singing “wheels on the bus” with Sophie in my lap, and Sam came over and plopped himself right into my lap, next to Sophie, ready to sing and play along with us (he loves that song- it’s one of our favorites to sing together). I mean. You guys. This is what my dreams look like, right here!!! I’m not sure how you have more than 2 kids, though, because these two are max capacity for fitting in my lap. Maybe you just pile them up? I guess a couple could go on the knees, too. Now that I’m thinking about more any time soon.
Anyway.
We were going to go to Apple Hill (think all things FALL- there are apple orchards and pumpkin patches and everything fall imaginable) today, but are postponing until next week hoping it won’t be raining then! Crossing our fingers!
How was your weekend? Do anything especially “fall”-y? :)

Sounds like a great weekend! I realllllly need to clean our blinds too, but I’m dreading it. I know I will feel so much better when it’s done, but man that is not fun! Any tips or tricks for cleaning them?
