oh boy oh boy, where has the time gone? time to re-cap things of late! (through instagram photos, but of course!)

i’ve been drinking a lot of tea lately. it kind of started when i felt a sickness coming on, and was freaking out and doing everything possible to not get sick. like, seriously. i ate an entire orange in about 2 minutes right when i started feeling like i could quite possibly be getting a cold. and drank about a gallon of hot tea. okay, not that much. but anyway. tea time has been happening a lot. (like my mug?)

this past saturday was the kentucky derby, which my family celebrates every year. no, we are not from kentucky. but my grandpa’s a cowboy, and so we have a big family party and wear big hats and bet on the race and also celebrate my mom and grandpa’s birthday at the same time! this year, it happened to be both cinco de mayo AND the derby, so we had margaritas AND mint juleps! score!

husby let me have a “perfect day.” he took me shopping to ulta and nordstrom rack and then we got starbucks for frappy hour! yes! and the lady at the rack? she gave me a whole bag just full of hangers! people, i was SO excited! and can i just talk about how amazing that store is? i hadn’t been in a very long time, and oh boy. i kind of wanted to buy the entire store. everything’s such a great deal! and so in style! and, ahh! i’ll post photos of my finds soon (if anyone’s interested?) :) it was exciting.

last, but not least, this was my attempt at a bang braid. not bad, right? it’s a work in progress, but i’m learning, people, i’m learning!
