‘Tis the season for holiday parties! One of the best parts of this time of year, in my opinion! Today I thought it’d be fun to share a holiday makeup tutorial with you all, that I have been loving for the season, via a little “get ready with me” type of post. Yay!
Okay, so first thing’s first: You must have a pretty smile. My favorite secret weapon for a picture-perfect holiday party smile? Crest Whitestrips! I’ve been using them for yeeeears and I swear by them! I always pick up a pack before a big event (ahem, WEDDING) and will use the box leading up to the big day. I love the Crest 3D White Luxe Supreme FlexFit Whitestrips so much. They give you professional results for a flawless smile right at home! Easy peasy. And what I love more is that you can pick them up at Target- my go-to spot for literally everything!
And now, time for my holiday makeup tutorial!
I always like to do some primping before any big event or holiday party. Crest whitestrips are a must, as I already said, and so is a shower with some pretty smelling shower gel, then lather up with some luxurious body butter and of course you need a manicure! This shade is “Over the Taupe” and I’m loving it for the winter!
Okay, now it’s face time. I prime with some BB Cream, then I apply my foundation with a buffer brush. Then CONCEALER (#newmomprobs) and set it all with powder. Then I like to contour with bronzer (perfecting that duck face) and apply blush over that, on the apples of the cheeks.
Okay, my favorite part! Eye makeup! I put a gorgeous shimmery gold color all over the lid, then apply a medium brown over that and a darker matte brown in the crease. I like eyeshadow, what can I say. Line the upper lash line with some black cream eye liner, then apply lots of mascara. Like, lots. I’ve also recently gotten into doing my eyebrows, because, um, well, because who isn’t these days?! Right?! But seriously, I’m a fan. I just fill in my brows lightly- nothing too crazy but I think it adds a nice definition. I can dig it.
And finally, lips! It’s a holiday makeup look, so obviously red lips are a necessity! I’m loving Babylips (for moisturizing and a light color) paired with a bold red on top- like this Revlon matte color. Then I apply Benefit’s “Watt’s Up” highlighter on my nose and also on my cheeks, over my blush, for a pretty dewey effect. And voila! Party ready!
Here’s a fun idea- you can use Crest Whitestrips as stocking stuffers (or any of the products above)! Give the gift of a pretty white smile. I love it!

Love posts like these! Especially because I’m lost when it comes to makeup haha. I have this coral red form revlon that I love, and am looking forward to wearing in a couple of weeks!! Never tried crest white strips either, but have been told they don’t work. I’m not sure, I still want to try them! You say they work, so I believe you and think it’s worth a try :)

Hm that’s weird that you’ve heard they don’t work- crest whitestrips have always worked for me! Maybe if your teeth are super stained and whatnot they don’t- mine aren’t that stained or yellow, so they just do a great job of brightening them up! :)

Great post. :) I’ve gotten better with having the products that I need/use… I think I have my eye makeup down pat, I just need to do the same with face stuff. I have a powder and blush that I use so I need to step up my game a bit (and get concealer, bronzer, and foundation), hehe.
Katie
Eyes are the most important part, I think, so you’re well on your way with that part already down pat! :)

super cute look! I love whitestrips but they make my teeth SO sensitive! (does that happen for you too or am I just weird?) it’s all worth it though because then my teeth look awesome ;)
Katie
GIRL. YES. They do make my teeth sensitive! Sometimes more than others! I think it depends on how long I leave them on… I always do less than they say on the box, otherwise it’s too painful! You’re not alone!

I always wondered if Neutrogena shine control actually worked. I think I will give it a try. Very nice post
Katie
I love the neutrogena shine control! I’ve actually been loving all of their cosmetics lately! :) Thanks so much for reading!

I’ve never tried priming with a BB cream – I’ll have to give that a go!
