one of my friends wrote on facebook “july the fourth be with you!” and i thought that was really funny. i always like to say “may the fourth be with you” on may 4th, so this was a cute little spin on the pun. and was in no way a pun, really. since it makes no sense. such is life.
anyway. the fourth! of july! was such fun! just what i was hoping, and even better. my parents joined in on the festivities over at my in law’s house, and oh boy, i was in little katie heaven. i love my parents. and i love my husband’s parents. and when they get together? makes my heart very happy. there was much bbq-ing of dogs and burgers, and watermelon eating (although they were seedless, so no seed spitting contests, darn) and fireworks-ing. you know. the usual. pictures!
don’t you just want to take a big bite out of that? i think we need to get ourselves to a grocery store a.s.a.p. so i can eat watermelon every day of july.
