We made it to 38 weeks! Two weeks to our due date, ahhh! At our last dr. appointment, she said she’ll more than likely be seeing me in a week (we got once a week now). Meaning, probablyyyy no early baby, but hey! You never know! Which explains my sudden bouts of anxiety I’ve been getting lately. I mean, the thought of child labor is a scary thing, right? Somebody ease my mind a bit. I’m anxious, I’m nervous, I’m scared, but I’m also so so so ready and excited and overjoyed! ALL OF THE EMOTIONS. THEY ARE BEING FELT. Which is a really crazy time for someone who has a growing belly and thus is feeling huuuuuuge most of the time and also, these hormones, man. So yeah. Prayers are always welcome if that’s your thing. Please and thank you.
I was eating my yogurt the other morning, and happened to glance at the date, and it was our due date. So. That happened. Things are gettin’ real, folks.
My bestie’s birthday was this weekend, and we went out to dinner with a big group and it was so fun! We ate Mexican which is basically my favorite food ever, and I can’t even tell you how many chips and salsa were consumed. A lot. Also, I got a pitcher of water to myself, which was good and also kind of hilarious. A pitcher of margaritas for my friends, a pitcher of water for me. ;) C’est la vie enceinte! (“That’s the pregnant life” for all you non-Frenchies!)

Oh my goodness, only two weeks left! Or less. You just never know! Glad you had a good weekend :)
I knowwww it’s nuts!! :D
xo
Omg so soon!!! I always consume way too many chips and salsa when I go out to Mexican restaurants and I’m not pregnant so at least you can blame it on the baby and no one would think anything of it haha.
I’ve never been in labour, but i think if you just prepare yourself mentally for a long and tough labour anything less will feel short in comparison.
Girrrrrl chips and salsa are my JAM. Always. Preg or not! haha ;)
xo
It’ll be here before you know it!! I pray that you will have peace and joy as you welcome your little one!
Thank you so so so much <3

I love giving birth! I think it’s an amazing gift women have, to be able to experience it!! If after 3 marathon births (30, 24, and 20 hours) I still want at least one more baby, it can’t be too bad. ; ) They’re definitely worth it! ((HUGS)) and prayers!!
You just made me feel infinitely better about birth- THANK YOU!! :D You’re right, people have more than one child, meaning it can’t be THAT bad!! I keep reminding myself of that!
xo
You can do it! I know the unknown can be scary, but it sounds like you have a great support system and the nurses and docs are there to help. It will be over before you know it, and all so worth it. Definitely just be mentally prepared for anything, childbirth never goes exactly as planned. But I agree Verna, I vaginally delivered a 10lb7oz baby and have gone on to have another and am pregnant again, it can’t be that bad :)
You’re so right! It CAN’T be that bad! Congrats on being pregnant again- such a blessing!! <3 And thank you for easing my worries!
xo
Ha, we are the same person! I am currently rocking my Minnetonka fringed boots too (the same ones you have going on in the picture!)
TWINS!! I seriously love these boots!!
xo
Eeek! So excited for you! I remember the fear and anticipation those final weeks. Definitely real but trust me when I say you have nothing to worry about and once that precious little baby is placed in your arms the only emotion you’ll feel is love :-)
Awww you’re making me tear up just thinking about it!! :) Thank you for your sweet words!
xo
AH so close! My oldest niece’s birthday is the 21st- I didn’t know you were due so close to her birthday! :) You are still looking SO amazing- even at 2 weeks to go! :)
It seems like EVERYONE has an April birthday! So crazy!! :) I know we’ll make somebody happy no matter which day he decides to come! ;)
xo
This has gone so fast! You look great, hope you’re enjoying it! Can’t wait to see him :) x
I know, it’s crazy how fast it’s flown by!! And thank youuuu! :)
xo
you’re gonna do sooooo great with birth!!!! i was nervous, too. like i was not one of those people that was just ready to get the baby out. i was more like… hey just stay all safe and warm in there and we won’t have to do the whole coming-out situation! but birth was actually a great experience! and i love the ladies saying when people do it over and over again it can’t be that bad ;) true! haha!
Haha I feel the same way- he can stay in and keep cooking til he’s nice and ready!! ;) Thanks for easing my worries over here! <3
xo
eek! it will be happening in a blink of an eye! sending good vibes and hoping things continue to go smoothly. :)
Thanks so much girl!! <3

Things are getting real! Some advice I can give you… make sure you have everything ready to go. Make sure the car seat is ready in the car. Make sure your bag is ready to go (except the stuff you use everyday obviously). Especially if you think he may come early. My little man was 5 days early and I am so glad we had everything ready. You don’t want to be scrambling last minute in between contractions! Other than that, try not to worry too much! It’s not that bad (or at least it wasn’t for me)! Oh and have an epidural! Haha. HEAVEN.
The car seat has been ready for a few weeks now (I just love looking back and seeing it!!) and I just packed my bags, so I think that’s great advice!! :) And girllll epidural sounds like the way to go, for sure!!! <3
xo
You look amazing! So exciting :) Can’t wait to hear the news!!!!
Aww thanks girl!! <3
xo
So close! Don’t be nervous, you were made for this!!! You’ll be great when the time comes!
Ahhh thank you sweet girl!!

I found somewhat of a love note to pregnant women on the internets the other day. One of my favorite quotes from the article is, “YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE. NO MATTER WHAT. BIRTH IS NOT A “TEST.” THERE IS NO PASS OR FAIL.” Don’t stress. You’ve got a dr who will help make sure things go okay and a cute husband who will take care of you and angels on the other side who will help you push through it. Deep breaths :) You got it, girl.
Girl, your comment legit just made me cry. It is EXACTLY what I needed to read, and I’m finding so much comfort in it!! THANK YOU thank you <333
xo
You are such a gorgeous pregnant woman haha! I can’t really imagine the nerves you must be feeling, but in terms of childbirth I will give the same encouraging words I gave you before… Giving birth is something that millions upon millions upon millions of women have done before you… and if those people can do it, so can you!! :) You’ll be in great hands!
YES, amen to that. If they can do it, I certainly can!!! :) Thanks girl for always lifting up my spirits! <3
xo
Sending prayers your way!! Also, I am absolutely OBSESSED with anything floral pattern lately! Thus, I love your dress.
Aww thank you so much, sweet Ann!!! <3
xo
Ahhhh that’s so exciting!!! You are one of the most beautiful pregnant women I know so please don’t stress about feeling huge! You look great! Sending all my prayers and love!
Aww you are the sweetest, Niki!!! <3 Thank you for making my day!
xo
Love your outfits! So spring-y!
Aww thanks Gina!! :)

Katie, every single mom I know was SO nervous about labor. I personally was terrified! But I figured, the baby is being born literally one way or the other, so you’ve gotta just focus and do it. I know it’s hard but try not to overthink it or worry. It will happen when and how it’s supposed to. I was induced and ended up in a last-minute c-section, it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life BUT once I saw and held my daughter I TRULY forgot for a still moment everything I had just endured. Worth. Every. Second. And I would do it all over again.
I’ll be surprised if you don’t say the same thing.
Hang in there girl, you will do GREAT!!!!
YES, amen to that- the baby MUST be born! Haha, so really, no reason to freak out allll too much, right?! Right. :) I love love love what you said, too- everything will be worth it. Everything. I wholeheartedly believe that, and I haven’t even experienced it yet! Thank you for calming my nerves! <3
xo
It’s almost time! eek!
I knowwww! I literally can’t believe it! :D
xo
Oh Mexican food might be the best thing ever. Possibly better than tofu sushi and that is saying something cause I’m addicted to that stuff! Eeeek, only two…or three weeks left ;) Wahoo!
Girl. Mexican food is my faaaaave. I could literally eat it every day, and I practically do! haha
xo
You are TOTES (magoats!) ready for this Katie! We can’t wait to hold our new little nephew!
Eeeeeek!!! I’m so excited! :D
xo
Congrats on such a successful pregnancy! Growing a human inside you is definitely a worthy super power! I don’t know if you’ve mentioned it yet (or if it’s something you’d mention on your blog), but I thought I’d share something that’s always heavy on my heart when I “know” someone who is having a baby boy. Please don’t circumcise your precious baby boy. He’s perfect the way he is, and no genital mutilation (what it’s called for girls, and boys are different or less perfect) will make him more perfect. The Academy of American Pediatrics says it, “…does not recommend routine circumcision for newborn males stating the evidence was not significant enough to prove the operation’s benefit.” If you’re on the fence or haven’t considered it yet, I would 150% recommend this video presentation about the facts and history of male genital cutting. The professor explains is so well, in a life changing way, in my opinion. Anyway, if you’d prefer not to click on the link (maybe I’m a weirdo-spammer, ya never know! lol), you can check out “Child Circumcision: An Elephant in the Hospital” on YouTube.

In any case, best wishes in the next few days and weeks~~you can do it! :D
That dress looks amazing on you in the first picture! beauty!
