So… this happened. We adopted two kittens this week. We just fell in love with these two at the shelter, they are both so sweet, calm and amazing with the kids! It was love at first sight. And honestly, if we didn’t have the kids, we wouldn’t have done this so suddenly. Losing Buddy (our old cat) was so hard and so emotional (more than I expected it to be!) and I wasn’t feeling ready to turn around and adopt another cat so soon, but the kids need that companionship from a furry friend (or two!). Sam needs that soft touch, and craves that love. Animals make amazing companions, and have proved to be the best therapy for our sweet Sam. He’s more calm, regulated, and HAPPY when he has a kitty in his life. So, when we met these two we just knew this was it. And if you’ve seen any of the videos of Sam and Sophie with them, you’ll agree. And okay, I’ve fallen hard for them already too. I mean, just look at them.

Get home and get straight into comfies. Every. Single. Day. We have a strict “no jeans” rule in this house. ???? And these new comfies are the comfiesttttt. This never happens anymore. She’s always on the go, so busy, bossing someone around or being all sassy and silly and wild and independent, so when moments like this happen, I hold her tight and soak it all in. She’s magic.
