This is what I wore to our daaaate night last week! There’s nothing I love much more than throwing on a comfy sweater over a dress. It takes no effort at all, but it still looks put together and cute, you know? We went to dinner and the weather was perfect and we walked around downtown a little bit afterwards, just soaking all of it up. We came upon this old Episcopal church, and I was instantly smitten. I just love red doors, there’s something about them. They’re just so classic. I think when we get our very own house, we’ll be painting the door red. And then we’ll paint the roses red, because that’s just the next logical thing to do, non?

EDIT: In the transition of my blog to WordPress, I sadly lost all of the comments that had been on this post and the previous one. All of the comments on the other 500+ posts came through just fine, though. ;) So yay for that. Thank you for all of the comments! Love you all!
LOVE this new blog design! Oh, and of course your outfit!

Haha, can we disregard that random coupon code I sent at the end of my last comment? hahahaha
hahahaha I love it. I totally knew that was a coupon code, too. amazinggggg.
I love wearing a sweater over a dress…and you do it so very well here. You look awesome!
Thanks Carly girl!! :) So sweet of you!

New blog design, say what?! Looks great, Katie! Also, I love this style. I wish I could find a sweater that fits like this. Either it’s too frumpy in the body and too tight in the arms, or there is just too much material and it makes me look like I’m stashing something underneath.

Thanks Kate!! :) And yeah, getting just the right fit in a slouchy sweater can be tough! I’m sure you’d rock any one though!

Very cute! I’ve been big into layering shirts/tanks over a dress lately, too – it’s just such an easy way to look put together. :)
Yes! And it gives you a totally different look with the same clothes, which I love.

LOVE that sweater! I wish whatever you bought just magically appeared in my closet too. I went to F21 and kept thinking “What would Katie buy?” LOL
Haha I love that so much!!!! WWKB? ;) You’re the cutest.

I love this outfit so much. I do share your love for a slouchy sweater over a dress. This is such an effortlessly sexy look…just perfect for date night with hubby:)
Also, I love the red doors on the Episcopal churches too. I love my wedding pictures in front of the gorgeous red door of my church framed with vintage brick.
