This past week has been super busy, what with work and multiple wedding festivities, and spending time with friends and family! I absolutely LOVE being busy; I love having a full calendar, love going going going and always having something planned for the day! But, you know, it’s nice to have some down time, too, and only in those super busy times, do I realise how really nice it is to have absolutely NOTHING to do every now and then. Not only nice, but necessary! You can’t be going every second of every day; You need to stop and take a few deep breaths first. You know, smell the roses and all that. I’m enjoying the changing of the seasons right now, and I am more excited than ever for fall to begin! I can tell, it’s juuuust on the verge. I’ll welcome it with a cup of chai latte and a cozy sweatshirt.
Last week, Zack and I visited my parents and stayed at their house for a few days. It was glorious! I cherish that time so much! We went to the art exhibit I had so been anticipating, in downtown Lodi. It was a bit bittersweet; The paintings were exquisite, and really full of depth. He captured cityscapes and scenery perfectly, and the brushstrokes just drew me right into the scene. But it made my heart ache a bit for my home away from home. It’s been 4 years since I stepped out of that plane and into the City of Lights, and I can’t wait to do it again. September in Paris sounds nice to me….
(Of course, I had to wear my “Merci Beaucoup” top!)
We stopped at a charming cafe called the Dancing Fox. I want this to be my dining room, kthx.
Meet me in Paris?
