Our 2 Year Anniversary

That man of mine knows my heart so well. We woke up the morning of our anniversary, and he got up (before me, as per usual) and got ready and came over to me and whispered in my ear “What do you want from Starbucks?” Oh, be still my heart. That question is one of my very favourites, let me tell you. ;)

We exchanged our gifts to each other (he got me an amaaaazing cotton blanket and I got him cotton candy- since we’re doing a vacation in a few weeks, we agreed no big presents for either of us). Actually, to be honest, we both agreed NO presents, and well. You see how well that worked out. Also, can I just say, his cards are my favourite ever. I love him.

We went to dinner at Paesano’s, a deeelicious Italian place downtown. Since it was a monday night (holla!) we actually caught the happy hour and I got to try the yummiest drink ever: watermelon lemonade. It was just as refreshing and delicious as it sounds. Then we got the fried ravioli and bruschetta for appetizers, and our main entrees were barely touched and then boxed up for lunch today. ;)

After dinner we walked around the Capitol rose garden. I just love that place. The roses are all in full-bloom right now and the weather was perfect and it was so romantical.

We stopped by Rick’s Dessert Diner for a to-go slice of chocolate mousse cake a.k.a. heaven. Then we had our cake and ate it too, while in our pj’s.

I love this man of mine. Somebody pinch me. I don’t think I deserve him, but I thank God every day that he’s mine, because I don’t know where I would be right now if he wasn’t in my life. And that’s the damn truth.

    Um… such a cute anniversary post! Cotton candy also influenced by decision. It is yummy when dropped at the bottom of a champagne flute with a little champagne poured over it. Just saying. ;)

    Happy anniversary!!! I love the cotton gifts :) I’m trying to come up with cotton gifts for my guy and there are just waaay too many options. He may end up getting literal cotton balls..

      Hahaha mine would have, but he has this weird thing with cotton balls. I don’t know. It would have just been mean of me. But! I definitely think you should do that! Too funny :)

    Aww! You guys are so cute. And I love your cotton gifts. We passed our second anniversary a few months ago, and I got my husband a cotton t-shirt with “Locked Down for Life” and our wedding date on it (since ‘locked down for life’ is his favorite way of describing marriage…) :P
