Hytta is Norwegian for "Cabin"

A few little updates.

One. We went to my cabin for possibly the last time ever last week. Bittersweet, I suppose. As my mum put it, we’re moving on to bigger and better things (emphasis on both the “bigger” and the “better” as it is the tiniest cabin in existence, to be sure). End of an era and all that. My dad is selling his share to my aunt, and she’ll officially own it. Now, if this had happened even as soon as last year, I would have been pretty heartbroken/angry/upset about it, but my view has changed, and I completely understand, and even agree with the reasoning behind the decision. Mayhaps I’ve matured? Who knows. But I’m excited for all of the fun trips we can make now, elsewhere.

Of course, however, we just had to have one last Cabin Party hurrah! Here’s my favourite pictures from the night:

Two. This weekend is full of work and work and more work, but come next week, we are heading (back) up to Tahoe, this time with Zack’s parents! They have a time share and invited us to stay with them. Should be lovely.

Three. I did some retail therapy at Forever 21’s website. Why is it just SO easy to do?! Anyway, I found an adorable horse print dress. I’m not even sure the colour’s going to work for me (trouble with ordering online), but I’m kind of obsessed with all things animal lately (seriously- if it is an article of clothing and has little animals all over- regardless of which animals- you can be sure I want it!) So we’ll see how it works out. Perhaps I’ll post a picture. :) I’d like to incorporate more fashion into this little bloggy of mine. Thoughts?

Four. Zack and I spent the past few days at my parent’s house. I love these little mini vacations. So relaxing. We bbq’d both nights, and ate al fresco (probably for the last time this year!) We even roasted marshmallows last night! And played board games and watched a scary movie. I loves ’em.

Okay, time to enjoy the first real Fall-like day of the season. I am SO excited for the breeze and the leaves on the ground! Scarves, warm knits, fires, and hot coffee! Bring it on!
