Dear Zack, I like being up here, in the mountains, with you and your darling parents. And I really like playing games until 2 am and laughing til we cry. (Seriously, if you want a fun party game, play Taboo. It’s pretty much the most fun you can have. I’m not lying. And we stayed up until 2am! We haven’t stayed up that late in, like, months! So, there’s that.)
Dear Tahoe, So glad we got to come up and spend time here with my in-laws. We’ve been eating delicious food and playing games and swimming/hot tubbing/ ping ponging/ playing pool and enjoying the resort and each other’s company, and it’s really been the best. I love my family. :)
Dear snow, since we don’t get snow at home, I love that we can escape to the mountains to enjoy a little wintry wonderland. There’s something so magical about snow, and maybe I feel even more inclined to love everything about it because I have never had to endure a harsh winter of scraping ice off of driveways and windshields and tromping about to and from school and whatnot. Maybe that has something to do with it, because for me? Well, for me snow is magical and beautiful and makes me want to prance around in it and make snow angels and have snowball fights and all that silly stuff. And this snow is not helping in my Christmas fever, which always starts for me sometime around Halloween. I know, it’s silly, but I really could take or leave both Halloween and Thanksgiving, and just go straight to the happiest time of the year. Because it really is.
Dear Christmas, I’m ready for you to start now! I’m ready for twinkle lights in the windows, and mugs of hot chocolate, and fires in the fireplace, and Christmas music every single day, and Christmas movies (which I can handle wayyyyy better than Halloween ones, let me tell you) and wrapping presents and… Well, okay, maybe I should stop talking about all of this when Halloween hasn’t even happened yet. Forgive me?

I’m completely opposite of you with the snow. I’m from Jersey and now live in DC. I’m OVER the snow and snowstorms and cold weather and yuckiness that comes with winter. But the fireplace and cozy hot chocolate and cuddling? That part I love. Ha!

I just read your post about the Exorcist. I saw that movie when I was 13 and have been terrified of ALL scary movies ever since. I agree with you, I’m ready for Christmas to start too! I hate Halloween…well all the scary Halloween stuff!

I started listening to Christmas music last night! Ridiculous, but I am so excited!

oh my gosh tahoe sounds sooo fun!!! have a snowball fight for me (or a hot-tub-sesh)!
we have a timeshare (and by me i mean my mom haha) in north shore (king’s beach) and i love going up there…sigh, so fun!! ENJOY!!
We already had both a snowball fight AND a hot tub sesh!! :) hehe and that’s so cool, my parents-in-law have a timeshare on south shore, and that’s where we are now!! Lucky us! ;)

Tahoe is my backyard! Growing up in Reno, I’ve been blessed to spent every winter/summer/fall/spring playing at Tahoe. There’s no place like it :-)
Awww how fun! Yes, my grandparents always had a cabin here, and now my parents-in-law have a timeshare, so I’ve been to Tahoe every year of my life, basically!! I love it :)
