Life as of late, in picture form.
As I said in my last post, Christmas time is here, and I’ve been ready forever, it seems! So yay! Zack’s brother turned 30, so we went to celebrate his bday with their parents at a pretty restaurant in Old Sac, Rio City Cafe. Yums. We sat right by the Christmas tree (in case I wasn’t already in the spirit!)
Zack and I went to watch some of the CIM (California International Marathon) last Sunday morning. We work in a spaghetti restaurant, so the night before the marathon is always one of our busiest nights (runners + carb loading + spaghetti and endless bread = busy night for us!) Our good friend (he was in our wedding) Patrick was running, so we went in hopes of seeing him and cheering him on.
Sure enough, there we were at the 25 mile mark, and he comes by and we hear him say “Zack- I’m dying, man!” So Zack ran alongside him, giving him the motivation he said he needed (!) to complete the race!! How awesome is that! Zack ran with him for a couple of blocks, and I completely camera failed and didn’t catch it! Boo :( Oh well, it was really sweet. This was my attempt at taking a picture of them (you can’t even see them, since I was too busy fumbling in my purse while they ran past!) Anyway, it was a beautiful day and my husband has a good heart. The end.
My little cousin also celebrated his bday (19! OMG!) so we partied for that too!
It’s the month of birthdays! My brudda Josh turned 28, also, but he’s in Florida, so we sent him a card, and of course called him to sing to him. :) Can’t wait to see him and my sister in law and other brother, in just 1 week!!
Last week, we went up to my parent’s house for a few days. We did our annual trip to the lot to pick out their tree…
…and I single-handedly decorated it! Yes, me myself and I. With the help of a Mr. Jack Daniels. He was a huge help ;) My parents were cheering me on from the couch haha.
Kassie just hung out with her new BFF all night.
(It sings.)
Et voila! The finished product.
We then proceeded to watch “Christmas Vacation,” “Home Alone,” and “Elf.” It was pretty much the best night ever.
Your tree is so cute!! Christmas traditions are the best <3
