It’s that time of year! The time we look at the spring and summer 2020 fashion trends! I like to look at these together because, depending on where you live, it may feel like summer in the spring or feel like spring in the summer! This post will cover all of the top trends for this year along with some links to pieces to help you embrace those trends!

Now I’m not sure I can get on board with all of these- I mean, bermuda shorts suits? No. I also did some more research from designers showcased at New York Fashion week and read “expert” projections for spring/summer trends to put together this list.

So here we go, my top spring summer 2020 fashion trends!
First up, we have Feminine Utility Pieces. I LOVE this one! It was a very popular look last year and I expect it to continue through this year as well. Some of the most popular pieces last year were utility jackets- and I don’t see that changing!
Next up in our spring/summer trend list is effortless chic. Rompers, maxi dresses, denim shorts and a cute tank or tee fit into this category. I could LIVE in this style!
Literally the top 4 items in the widget below make up my idea summer uniform! Sandals, shorts, a tank and sunglasses.
This next one isn’t ground breaking, but we’re going with it anyway- florals. They will always be a spring staple in my mind, and there are so many different ways to incorporate florals into your wardrobe!
Another spring/summer trend that is carrying over from last year is graphic band tees. These were everywhere last year and I expect them to be everywhere again this year. These were so hard to find once summer was in full swing last year, so grab one now while they’re still in stock!
I love the band tee trend because it’s so easy! Pair one with some cute cutoff denim shorts, or a pair of jeans and booties.
The last trend we’re talking about here is eyelets. This is one of my favorite trends! I think eyelets can really elevate a look. I prefer the eyelet look over lace- so I’m happy to see this pop up on a few spring/summer trend reports for 2020.
Can’t go wrong with a pretty eyelet top with jeans and booties!
Let’s not forget how great eyelet tops are logistically for warmer weather. Can you say breathable!
