Christmas Hangover

top: kohl's
leggings: american apparel
boots: aldo (similar here and here)

{doing the robot, naturally}

Oh, the Christmas hangover.  Not literally, of course, but figuratively speaking.  You know the feeling.  I'm actually still buzzing from it (again- figuratively) and we're sitting here with perma-smiles on our faces, and feeling slightly overwhelmed by all of the happiness and how much fun we just had the past few days and also slightly overwhelmed by the feeling of WHERE ARE WE GOING TO PUT EVERYTHING.  So.  A deep cleaning is in order.  And today will consist of organizing and finally getting our dining room table back that had been devoured by wrapping paper and bows and $30 ribbon and etc.  So, that will be nice.  Maybe we'll even eat dinner there.  But then again, we have to watch A Christmas Story tonight (because it is on my list of movies to watch this year, and just because Christmas is TECHNICALLY over, it's really not, since we still have more celebrations to have when my other brother and my sister-in-law arrive tomorrow, then an ugly Christmas sweater party on Saturday, then another family party Sunday oy vey!) and dinner will probably be eaten whilst watching it, if we're being real here.  I mean, sometimes you just gotta eat dinner on the couch, you know?  Especially while watching a really awesome movie.  And especially if dinner is the exact same thing you ate the night before (Christmas dinner leftovers are just the best, don't you agree?)  Also, cookies.  Just had to add that in there.  We have enough cookies to last until next Christmas, no joke.  So.  Many.  Cookies.  Party at our house?

  11. So I would love to hear your thoughts/"rules" on leggings as pants. Do you just make sure your shirt is long enough to cover your bum? Or are your leggings pretty thick?

    1. haha oh, Lauren, you are too cute!! Okay, my "rules" are simple. Yes, it must cover the bum, at least partially. And yes, they must be opaque, meaning NO see-through AT ALL. That's why I love AA so much- their leggings are super thick and awesome and not at all see-through! :) If my top isn't quite long enough (like this particular one) then I throw on one of my super long layering tanks (this one's actually a tube dress from h&m!) and voila! Hope this helped!

  15. A deep cleaning to make room for new awesome stuff?! Doesn't sound so bad. I actually did that this past week to fit in our massive amounts of maple syrup, chocolate chips and other baked goods that were sent. Merry Christmas!
